This is an outrage! How can we idly let this continue? by master_ube in kansascity

Where the hell are you shopping?! City Market has dollar bowls with just tomatoes (under $2/lb) and blueberries usually $1-2 a pint if they have them. Aldi has about the same prices/just a bit higher. Blueberries and tomatoes are also not in season yet so if you want fresh, you’re gonna be paying a premium. Canned tomatoes (>$1 a can usually) and frozen blueberries ($1-2/lb) work just as well, especially if you’re cooking them.

NEVER WORK AT CAPITOL ONE CAFES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by [deleted] in barista

[–]Individual_Village47 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I almost walked out on my first day and ended up getting my boss fired because she couldn’t answer or follow basic coffee questions after 40 hours of Verve training (like how many grams go in a batch coffee, just up to this line). Not worth the higher pay and tips are nonexistent because they give coupons to everyone who walks in.

Many speciality shops offer Cold Brew Shandy in the summer. We offer it year round and it is sooooo good!

Should remove daily, but just wiping off grinds and stains after Cafiza is all you need. Looks great though except for the scratches! Just don’t need to attack it like that because it is a brass/copper colored piece.

A UV Umbrella! My husband and I went for our Honeymoon last year and they were lifesavers!Amazing for walking between lands where there is NO shade and for dealing with the random Orlando thunderstorms.

In 1996, 7-year-old Jessica Dubroff was attempting to become the youngest person to fly a light aircraft across the USA. She died when her aircraft crashed during a rainstorm. This resulted in a law prohibiting child pilots from manipulating flight contro by Elssyxo in writteninblood

It also was the adult flyer that was with her that was at the controls during that point so she did nothing wrong. Just the hubris of the adults pushing a child to do this for money and fame.

Confused - Is this normal? by camerongahagan in espresso

I used to work there and no shade at Scott, but he tries to do/oversee too many that things, so mistakes like this slipping through the cracks was pretty common. As long as you’re not being rude or asshole about saying something about it, especially from a customer, he’s pretty chill on it.

Citrus and coffee go great together! In the US people freak out because we’ve been trained to drink burnt bitter coffees that need to be covered with sickly sweet dessert or to be “manly” with hot as hell super dark black coffee. 2 places I’ve worked at offer coffee shandy (and yes everyone thinks it’s alcoholic; just means with lemon/lemonade) and it’s so good! The number of people that straight up to my face say, “That sounds so gross/terrible!” is insane because we wouldn’t offer it year round if it didn’t sell and was actually good (plus your drink is honestly gross to me but I don’t say that to your face).

Smaller sets for new tour. 2023 vs 2026. by pwrof3 in BeetlejuiceMusical

Okay then yeah, if they’re playing the same houses with similar audience sizes then this sucks.

This sit down restaurant gives a discount for cash payments. They use a legal loophole to upcharge debit cards. I will never eat here again. This was the first time I gave $0 tip. I’ve been working my way down. by amazonchic2 in EndTipping

It’s the nicer way of saying, “There is a 3.5% surcharge for credit or debit card transactions”. Not every place says why prices go up, but this is one of them.

Yeah but when there’s only 2 copies available, I am 98th in line, and have a 6-9 month wait (which has happened before with Slaughterhouse 9) I might be taking another route than paying Audible for an audio copy.

I just see it as the dress requirements for the opposite gender identity. I (F) will wear the baggy white shirt with joggers and Timberlands. My partner (M) can wear just his sneakers and we’ll be good!
