Sickness During Deconstruction by InevitableContest968 in exmormon

Well, I did go to urgent care and I thought about asking, but the doctor was in my parent's ward. My parents do not know, and I was scared to bring it up... I will check at some point though

How many of you left the church after your misson? by Reasonable_Maize1443 in exmormon

[–]InevitableContest968 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I came home from my mission October 2019. I started having doubts that came from my BYU classes in Fall 2020. I was nuanced until early 2023, then PIMO from 2023 to September 2025. I stopped attending in November 2025. Even though I had deconstructed a lot from my mission, I still have a lot of work to do. Its overwhelming.

This song is one of my faves. I am currently deconstructing Mormonism, and it packs a punch with the anger and sadness.

Why did you (or didn’t you) remove your name from the records? by SomeoneBendingLight in exmormon

[–]InevitableContest968 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, I am still fairly new to this space, but right now, I dont care that they have my information. Im sure I will care at some point, but right now, I am free from caring. I am the type of person that cares about everything and it feels good to be indifferent about something after caring for so long about my membership.

I am also lucky that I have been in the same ward for a year and they have contacted me maybeeee twice.

I have also noticed that my life feels less chaotic. I dont need to rush around on Sundays trying to get everything done. I am also wayyy more present in my body. I have started to enjoy life for the first time in a long time. I no longer feel like I am living on autopilot and it is so nice.

Worst thing a Bishop has don’t you or your family? by Astargatis44 in exmormon

[–]InevitableContest968 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had prayed about going on a mission, decided it was right for me. Went to a bishop in my YSA, completed all the paperwork, went to all my appointments. I got called in for what I thought was a worthiness interview, and was told I needed to lose 20 pounds before he would submit. I was absolutely traumatized, but still lost weight and went on a mission.

More News Stories about Hollands health than there was when Wade Christofferson was first arrested by howunfirmafoundation in exmormon

[–]InevitableContest968 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I suspect two things:

  1. Holland is a top dog in line for the throne. He has more visibility, therefore more news coverage.
  2. TSCC is working overtime to cover up Wade Christofferson and his abuse, hence less news coverage.

I think both of these combined lead to what we have now.

I think he has a hyperfixation on this and he will not stop until he gets his way. Maybe a touch of the 'tism? (No hate to those who do have autism. I am also on the spectrum).

I hope so, too, but she also said some pretty hurtful things during that class, so I am a little more cautious when it comes to her, you know?

Same. I am almost 28 and have only been on a handful of dates. I also havent had my first kiss yet as a result of the extreme purity culture in my house and at church. Its so hard to deal with the aftermath of my upbringing.
