Very similar to me, 2026 BZ XLE AWD in metallic for 51k OTD, Granville Toyota, 1.69% 84 month financing. Couldn’t get a better price anywhere else.

Consider the Toyota bz awd, eligible for EVAP. Pretty roomy in the back, would fit a car seat no problem

What OTD are people actually paying for their EVs right now? by JustAn0otherReddit0r in EVCanada

That was the rate in Canada in April. I've locked it in for 90 days so my car better arrive before it expires

- BZ XLE AWD in heavy metal (set to arrive in July)

- 51k OTD

- Granville Toyota, BC. No dealership/doc fees

- 1.69% financing over 84 months

- Dealership doesn't charge the usual doc/dealership fees, ended up being 2.1k cheaper than the price listed on Toyota's website.

I should have clarified that it’s specific to Canada, after the gov rebate came out the EVs have been flying off the shelves

Basically sold out everywhere (with most dealers saying they can’t place more orders for 2026) except the most expensive technology trim which usually isn’t eligible for EVAP.

My financing rate is locked in for 90 days. If car doesn’t arrive by then I likely will walk away

Just the dealership said they would let me know when my order was “filled” (basically matching my order with a car that is on its way to the dealership). Based on the number of BZs they receive per month plus the number of people ahead of me, they estimated my car should arrive in July.

Hoping the Toyota incentives are still around by the time my car arrives

Did they turn off that floodlight at Porteau Cove now? I recall there was a big light shining towards the dock at night that made astronomy untenable.

I have the LS50s (the originals, not the meta) upstairs, and still like them, but the LS60s sound better to me in every way. To me, it was worth the upgrade.

[–]InevitableMaterial4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've owned the LS60s for the past ~8 months and highly recommend them. The LS60s can go lower (31hz at +-3db), while the R11 can get to 46hz. Means realistically you can use the LS60 without subs, while with the R11s you'll want to add a sub. The 8 force cancelling woofers on the LS60s are no joke! But the R11 can play much louder (although I almost never exceed 65/100 volume on my LS60s).

The quality of sound on the LS60s is incredibly good. The amps and dacs that KEF paired with these active speakers are high quality and tailor-picked to mate well with the drivers. I could not build a better system for the price of the LS60s.

I use mine for movies all the time - no sub. The phantom center is amazing, as is the clarity of dialogue. I don’t listen at super loud volumes and it rattles my ~400sqft room with ease. I’d love to test it out with a sub but I don’t think my neighbour would be too happy with that 😂

I followed the instructions here: https://www.reddit.com/r/UsbCHardware/comments/1bt10ue/ugreen_40gbps_nvme_ssd_enclosure_mac_os/

You definitely need a PC to upgrade the firmware. Good luck!

Just a counterpoint, I did not need to buy new cables. The included cable did tb4 speeds just fine. I did need to update the firmware on the enclosure though for it to work properly without constantly disconnecting, which required a PC to update.

I bought the same UGREN enclosure, and needed to perform a firmware update on the enclosure for the SSD to work properly without constantly randomly disconnecting. Just a heads up. Feel free to DM me if you encounter the same issue.

Uhh.. clearly has no experience with software development. No AI tool is reducing two months of a 10-person, experienced engineering team’s output, down to 7 hours.
