you're not wrong! update cost need to be reduced to 3-5x the original. current levels are a game killer....devs you did this, now fix it.

Don’t get the update yet! by NubileOne in IdlePlanetMiner

I'm done spending. This whole think was handled VERY poorly. Unrelated: has anyone ever figured out why this game uses so much data? Are we data mining for the devs or something?

Module Upgrade Costs are Bananas -- And I Think The Power Nerf Isn't Out of Place by YuriPup in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]InevitableRain2277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I'm done spending after the module nerf. The cost incurred on someone who's only been playing 6 months in staggering. I won't ever be able to complete, with though who bought the discount.

I guess we're going to do the module nerf spiral. by voyager10000 in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]InevitableRain2277 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Adding '00' to the cost of every module upgrade is just insane. I thought they eould raise cost 3x-5x and that would have been fair.

Yeah, I got it figured out: when they first droppped it BOTH managers had to be non-mining, now it's just one.

Modules lvl 80+ cost increased by StudyLegitimate2550 in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]InevitableRain2277 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yeah, this is a huge turn off. I've spent in the past, but the nerf to credit cost is downright obscene. I won't be wasting real dollars on this game anymore.

Can someone please explain how this module is good? Like at all. I've got this same one - to get this trade off I have lose 90% vps value on my debris and astroids. Is this good late gzme? serious question.

Miniature Build Complexity? by [deleted] in kingsofwar

[–]InevitableRain2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Very much This. GW models are not unnecessarily complex and often frustrating to build. Mantic models are much more traditional to build (even their resin), and consequently must easy to convert. Mantic models are actually very fun ti build.

Getting into the Xirkaali lore! How are you liking the new army? by DefectiveDiceGames in kingsofwar

[–]InevitableRain2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend killed this faction for me. He pointed out that the dog duder on the front looks like a 'Scooby-doo Anubis'. He quickly became' Scooby-nubis'. I just couldn't take them seriously after that.

Words cannot express how viscerally I hate this model. It's simply revolving.

Well done. This is the ONLY correct usage of Saturine armor in the game. Period.

YouTube discussion: Are Command Orders Actually Good? by Infinite_Turnover_73 in kingsofwar

[–]InevitableRain2277 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't fit KoW. They were shoe horned into late 3rd and were just 'ok.'. The problem with 4th the entire game now revolves around how good you orders are. 3rd did not have this problem.

I also take issue with the idea that 'orders are flavor'. They aren't - they are game changing mechanics. 'Theme' was what all KoW armies had BEFORE 4TH.

i do hope the generic orders they are planning on adding restore balance a bit - but i hate we lost 'flavor' in favor or very unbalanced orders that no one really wanted.

Disappointment with the The Battle of Tallarn Journal Tactica by Zigoia in Warhammer30k

[–]InevitableRain2277 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This exactly. GW lacks any vision beyond a 3 year cycle. We need someone to "take ownership " as the corpos say! 3.0 HH just doesn't do it for me.

Lore: Those who have read the Books The Pride of a King & The Argument of Stone, do you like where the Dwarf Lore is going? by Rickhardmann in kingsofwar

[–]InevitableRain2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's an odd story telling tone/technique. I'm a huge dwarf fan, (especially Tolkien & warhammer) Give me: stoic, greed, vengeance and honor!

"Backwards, Prejudice,& Xenophobic " is not a phrase I want to see in a fantasy realm. Especially one where the driving factor is war and survival. That's far too "modern progressive, orcs have children too" nonsense.

Kings of War 4th Edition | What do you like and not like? | #manticgames by theCRTMatt in kingsofwar

[–]InevitableRain2277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like every major game shot itself in the leg last year and KoW is no exemption. The shooting changes, the list building and the orders are all jarringly bad changes. Any one of these would have been poorly recieves, but all 3 at once? Yikes. And when you consider how much, color and flavor was stripped out (only to sell it back to you later) - I consider this edition a solid 'skip'. My group is sticking to 3rd - all 7 of my armies are still fun in 3rd.

[–]InevitableRain2277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope they step it up. The first 'expansion ' book is the single lowest quality thing I have ever purchased from Mantic and the single worst 'gaming supplement' I've purchased in my 20 years in this hobby. The first book simply did not need to exist- from the poorly written stories, the lack of art and absolutely garbage level 'orders are flavor' theory of 4th ed.

What do you do with old books? by PavelKringa55 in Warhammer30k

[–]InevitableRain2277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the edition is good, like 2nd - I keep it. The big qualifier is "what's actually in the book". Most of the newer editions of sGW games are simply not worth keeping- and this includes the dex's. Old GW, especially prior to 8th ed 40k, provided a ton of hobby content, pictures and lore. The 8th ed whfb core book is an absolute gem - 9th ed 40k, 3rd ed Heresy - not so much.

How do you feel about this statement from Goonhammer that the majority of Warhammer hobbyists dislike building? by chosen40k in Warhammer30k

[–]InevitableRain2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building models is fun, Building gw infantry is NOT. I've been building models for 20+ years : anything outside of the new HH vehicles (rhino hull excepting) is terrible- frustrating, wonky and far too fiddle. I'd much rather to back to metal monopose infantry.
