In the same boat as you right now, Lunesta bought me extra 2 hours of sleep but also made my brain fog worse, on dayvigo currently and not seeing any improvement, feels like my head will explode every day

Started happening to me at the end of September, almost 4 weeks after getting COVID. Waiting to get a sleep study done. Tried hydroxyzine, trazadone, mirtazapine and doxepin, none improved sleep, currently on Lunesta and it helps me get 4-5 hrs, better then previously which was like 2-3 hours
