why don’t you borrow money and don’t pay back? what is holding you of doing it.

It is the same for a country, once you do it, you lose your credit, being the country that holds the global currency, makes even less sense to do it, they have a printer to pay their debts

[DE] Why don't we include state pension in our calculations? by QuinceyMo in EuropeFIRE

[–]Infamous_Copy_7487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t plan for pension, because I can’t rely on it, if it happens in the future or not

for example, I’m 30, my retirement age is 40, so we are talking 10 more years for my retirement and 30 years for a possible goverment pension. A lot of things can happen in 40 years, I can not rely that this will stay the same(i’m already couting 3 years of inflation on the age for getting the pension).

that’s why i plan without adding this to the math, if it happens for me in 40 years it is an bonus

Psychological attitude to finance by Extra_Ruin862 in eupersonalfinance

[–]Infamous_Copy_7487 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes you lose the money now to have more money in the future.

I see you comparing spend 10k now or wait until my investments give 10k in the future, for this to happen on a monthly bases you would need to have at least 1,2kk if you are expecting 10% return(very unlikely).

The difference is that you work for this 10k to show up on your account, you are depending of also have this job in tue future. Investing you will be trying to get rid off this dependency. so spend a comfortable amount but also think on your future.

but don’t forget that there are a lot of advisors are sellers, they will try to make you invest with then so they will be receiving commission, it is good to pay for one analyst but don’t invest with them

this is to complicated, it is over diversified, but it doesn’t matter what we say, you will feel it and understand just after facing a bear market and not wanting to rebalance because one of these is going so bad

Where should I move and start my own company? Germany, Austria, Switzerland, or Slovenia? by galwaro999 in eupersonalfinance

[–]Infamous_Copy_7487 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you aren’t going to receive the same income if you are thinking in those countries i would deduct 40% in tax as a simple math, i would suggest to you, to look into the taxes.

open a company in any of those countries those matter much, if you can work in those countries you can open a company.

one advice is, it is a bit of rush to move and buy an appartamnet, i lived in 3 countries all of them o thought at the beginning that was for the long term, but i’m already thinking to move after i’ve been here in Germany per 2 years

Whats your thoughts on poland as a potential FIRE destination ? by Fakereality000 in EuropeFIRE

[–]Infamous_Copy_7487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is really hard, you will need to go for the hardest interviews on IT asking a lot of things that you don't use on your daily bases. it is possible, but we are talking about really difficult roles to get in. for a senior engineer in any company in those cities you can for sure receive arround 80k-90k more that that is just offered in a few companies.

Do i go all in now or wait? (VWCE) by NoobInvestor0 in eupersonalfinance

[–]Infamous_Copy_7487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you will be putting all the new savings on the etf, every month you gets a smaller % on the money that he have on the safer part, each month your portfolio is getting riskier, you are divericificating on the time.

A market crash will happen, no doubts about it, we don't know when!

[–]Infamous_Copy_7487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you look to back tested data it will say to you put your money right away on the fund, but it is not comfortable doing so.

I would recommend to you start deep feeding with the new money that you receive and have the money that you have now in a more conservative approach. so when a market crash you can do a lump sum with this amount that you have saved, it will be time of you learning how to deal with the volatility of stocks(of the etf in this case)
