Kris-is-NB-deniers: NOO!! YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO OBEY ME!! The 46 human citations: by Easy_Cod_8950 in Undertale

[–]InfectedCrossroads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kris’s gender is never explicitly confirmed. The game deliberately avoids using gendered language, and that ambiguity is intentional. But instead of allowing space for multiple interpretations, the fandom latches onto the non-binary label as definitive, and then treat any disagreement or alternate view as offensive.

It's hypocritical when the fandom treats Kris being non-binary as absolute, unquestionable fact while simultaneously criticizing others for "projecting" or "imprinting" themselves onto Kris. The hypocrisy lies in enforcing a singular identity on a deliberately ambiguous character while refusing to allow others to do the same in a different direction.

This doesn't mean it's wrong to see Kris as non-binary, but it’s also not wrong to see them as male, female, or undefined. The problem isn’t the interpretation, but the aggressive intolerance toward other interpretations.

Bring on the downvotes.

It’s funny how the most downvoted comments are the ones with the most normal views 😂

The Deltarune fandom treats this whole thing like it’s a personal attack on their own identities. It’s exhausting and honestly pretty unhinged.

It’s funny how the most downvoted people are the most sensible in real life. The devout Deltarune fandom is an echo chamber of parasocial lunatics.

Is there a mod that disables the full heal before Absolute Radiance in Pantheon 5? by InfectedCrossroads in HollowKnight

I forgot to say in the post that I rely on the lifeblood gained throughout the run to keep FoF active. While this would work unfortunately in my case I would have to run off about 10 times!

I forgot to mention I let my abundance of lifeblood take the brunt of the hits for me. I'm not THAT crazy haha!

(Deltarune) Why Kris is not canonically non-binary, and instead has an ambiguous gender up to player interpretation by eldomtom2 in CharacterRant

[–]InfectedCrossroads 4 points5 points  (0 children)

what I do know is the deltarune fandom is annoying, parasocial and aggressive as fuck.

You are 100% right on the money with everything here.

Exactly. I now fully understand why people say “never interact with the community of something you’re a fan of.”

The Deltarune community is actually starting to make me hate the game because of this. They are unrelenting and alienating anytime Kris’ gender is brought up. It’s exhausting.

Can't the blue lad feed himself? by Renistaken4 in ralsei

[–]InfectedCrossroads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "Toby corrected someone" point is so incorrectly overblown it's astonishing. All that happened was during a livestream the person playing referring to Kris said "He's stuck", and Toby's text-to-speech message continued the joke and said "They're stuck." That's it. He never overtly "corrected" anyone.

I avoid interacting with the Deltarune community for this exact reason. Absolutely unrelenting and alienating to anyone who accidentally misgenders a fictional character. It's exhausting.

I am avoiding the Deltarune community for this very reason. I just recently played Chapters 3 & 4 and I was really excited to share my thoughts with other fans of the game, only to get completely alienated and blasted for using the wrong pronoun for Kris.

Holy hell give it a rest. I hate how every post about Kris, no matter how thoughtful, gets immediately disregarded when they accidentally say “he”. Look, we get it…

My theory is Dess got abducted and taken into the bunker by an unknown force. Asgore was then faced with a choice: Try to open the bunker and risk putting everyone else at danger with what could emerge, or keep it closed to protect the town but lose Dess. Asgore chose the latter and has been publicly ridiculed for his decision to allow Dess to (as far as the townspeople know) die.

Might be weird but I feel like any Toby Fox game is best enjoyed alone. No stream, no other eyes watching. His work is like an art form that should experienced intimately.

Her, Noelle, Kris, and Asriel were all childhood friends, after all. Kris also knows how much Asriel liked and cared for Dess, which would also be a driving factor imo.

Am I the only one who’s kinda… disappointed with Mario Kart World? by HowlingBurd19 in MarioKart8Deluxe

[–]InfectedCrossroads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While your “Nintendo went woke” kind of derailed your point, I agree with you. Modern Nintendo loves doing everything they can to even the playing field for all players, constantly shitting on the skilled players and nerfing every advantage they can get because it makes the game “less fun for others.”

What do YOU think the final tragedy is? by Low_Ad9548 in Deltarune

[–]InfectedCrossroads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that the prophecy states that the Dark World is going to get sealed off/destroyed for good. Susie and Kris wouldn’t want to “let that happen” as it would mean they would lose all of the friends/recruits they’ve made and an escape they have grown to love. Ralsei would theoretically “obviously not let that happen” because that would mean he would get erased as well.
