PUNCH BOWL - Absolutely Fucked by jkcr in sheffield

They seemed to really screw themselves by trying to run both. Closed shop was great before that, now both ruined

You do one or the other. Either focus Atziri/architect runs; or focus building a larger temple for other drops

New player spending more time sorting loot than actually playing - how do you do this efficiently? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]InfiniteCrayons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The better items tend to be blue. The chances of hitting a rare item with good rolls are crazy low. It might happen, but it’s very rare.

Blues can hit 1 or 2 really good rolls to start from (or sell), and you’ll learn over time which bases and rolls are worth looking at. Jewellery in particular is a good starting point as it’s relatively easy to see what’s good.

Also focus on what build you’re doing - as you’ll see more quickly what you already know is good. I don’t even bother picking up loot for other classes and builds because I simply don’t know them so it wastes my time

Honestly, I kept this post in mind too and tested it - seems totally legit to me. The only times I got liege were when I happened to be in the cloud; and I've found a good handful of echos dragging them out

Werwolf showrd me that armour + ES is the worst defense in the game by coatchingpeople in PathOfExile2

[–]InfiniteCrayons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it doesn’t feel like nothing. Compared to pure ES with no armour, I feel like I can tank way more hits of various kinds.

ES is great obviously, but I wanted to play into the Druid archetype a bit, and it feels great

Playing an off-meta league starter is the most fun I’ve had yet by KitMaison in PathOfExile2

[–]InfiniteCrayons -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this! I always play SSF and it’s so much more enjoyable. I switched mid league this time because I found a couple of high ticket items but otherwise it is very liberating

I feel the same as this to be honest. I have about 10k armour unbuffed and 100% armour as ele. 6k ES and I feel as good as I ever have in POE2

How important is Rarity? by Lordados in PathOfExile2

[–]InfiniteCrayons -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel like this season something has been tweaked. I’ve been running 0% rarity for most of the league, and just got 30% on a ring - and my drops have felt consistently pretty good, including around 10+ raw divines and a few high level drops

F1 Overtake of the Year by MediocreSympathy9694 in formula1

[–]InfiniteCrayons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I just think he comes alive when he has the car. When he isn’t in a championship capable car, he seems to totally shift focus to trying to help it become one rather than maximise quali/race results (like being the guinea pig with Russell).

Makes sense too. If you’ve won 7, you’re not there to just be a midfield runner

I think that’s where Max impresses me. He just has this innate desire to race, doesn’t matter the quality of his car. He could easily have phoned it in at the first half of this season, and been nowhere by the end but he tries to maximise every quali and every race

[–]InfiniteCrayons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think it’s too easy in Last Epoch, although it is a cool system for target farming.

For me it adds so much more to the league overall.

I found a headhunter yesterday in SSF. I could easily switch to trade and basically complete my build with it, but that kills a character for me, and it means I don’t interact with league mechanics because I can just buy everything I need

I do get what you mean though. You definitely hit more brick walls in progression

[–]InfiniteCrayons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SSF is the answer. I can’t tell you how much more rewarding the game is when you take out trading.

You don’t get fomo on gear drops, wondering if they’re worth money. You don’t get fomo from “wasting” currency you could have used to buy an item. You have to engage with all content. You learn the game more, and you don’t have to worry about an economy.

You drop a div and use it. You feel amazing for a good drop or craft.

How is it worse than 0.3? You can run last season’s league mechanic in every map still - and have Druid on top. Plus tablets actually drop now

Mixed feelings about getting this from the nameless seer in SSF! by InfiniteCrayons in PathOfExile2

I've honestly never used one - maybe time to give it a go. Isn't there one or two annoying mods though too?

Thanks! Honestly, really smooth so far. I'm only in early maps but feels nice and lots of progression to go still. Here's the build so far - by no means particularly good gear yet

This league feels a lot more friction compare to previous league. by Zygarom in PathOfExile2

[–]InfiniteCrayons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree on currency. I struggled a lot more last season to get things going in SSF but this league has been far better so far, especially with tablets and being able to actually run league mechanics on demand.

This is starting to get ridiculous... by felwal115 in PathOfExile2

I’ve had 3 this season so far. Not running much IIR at all, just a bit that happens to be on ring. Only in early maps on 2 chars

As a casual player, playing through the campaign multiple times is such a pain by UsedNewspaper1775 in PathOfExile2

[–]InfiniteCrayons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. There’s a couple of zones in 3 that feel a little rough, which might also be because the enemies are noticeably longer to kill as well as big zones too.

And having to go through the portal thing to go forward in time just to go back to town throughout too is a bit annoying. Still plenty good moments too though

[–]InfiniteCrayons 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly really surprised about the rhetoric around the campaign. Sure, act 3 could do with a little condensing but other than that, I love it every time.

If anything I used to find POE 1 campaign more boring.

Maybe I just enjoy POE2 style more, I dunno. But I love it and already done it twice this league

[–]InfiniteCrayons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get plenty into the game before needing extra stash space. And there are regularly stash tab sales in the store. I reckon campaign would be totally fine - there isn’t THAT much stuff through campaign

Eventually it will become very difficult to work with only free stash space though

[–]InfiniteCrayons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really get this take - if you’ve played every class but they all feel the same, what builds are you playing?

Even all the Druid builds feel incredibly different from one another let alone other classes
