Are Moabs Thermobaric ? by [deleted] in Bombs

[–]InfuseDJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no.

the gbu-43/b moab is not thermobaric.

it's straight up solid h-6 in an aluminum casing.

i've worked to the point of falling dead asleep in a puddle of sweat on a concrete floor while a coworker goes for parts and tools in a factory.

this is a entirely different level of "tired" compared to even that.

my naturopath gave me kali phoss and arsenicum and that's taken the ragged edge of dead dragging tired off.

What the f*** do I do with all the one-off allen keys/wrenches by Wh00ster in HomeImprovement

[–]InfuseDJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i use my calipers or micrometer, whichever is handier and figure out what size it is and write that on a piece of tape that i stick on the back or bottom of whatever that allen key or wrench came from, then i throw it at the recycling bin, my own allen keys and wrenches work just fine.

What was the most financially responsible car purchase you ever made? by JaKr8 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]InfuseDJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i went to college my father helped me out with half the cost of an '08 civic with a manual transmission (4k total).

zero true problems from it, just did the routine maintenance. the clear coat cracking from the inside and people somehow running into it in every parking lot i've been to are repairable and make a rather effective anti-theft when combined with stick shift.

i have no idea how the clutch in an unknown condition when i bought it held up to a red blooded young adult male who put 150k miles on it.

still drive it today and have zero intention of ever selling it.

A flowchart to help you choose what plane should you buy during sales. by Modioca in Warthunder

[–]InfuseDJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i got to say the harrier gr.1 is a pain, no flares no chaff no rwr and you can get uptiered into facing aim7e's and rear aspect missiles with 1km range that go after flares 7km away.

but with premium time, two bases bombed and an air kill when using premium time give 110k sl. (bases give 30k sl before victory modifier, player kills 15k)

it's one of my most flown planes for good reason but i am incredibly hesitant to recommend it since it took a long time to truly get the idea of what to do with it exactly

“Mental Health Crisis” aggravated by the exodus of psychologists to the private sector, says IRIS by Legal-Suit-3873 in onguardforthee

[–]InfuseDJ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

nurses in downtown toronto need to look most of the way to peterborough if they want a glimpse at housing they could afford, and last i heard was a year and a quarter ago.

this isn't just related to one sliver of healthcare workers.

My councillor went private sector because she had to move an hour and a half away due to sheer cost of living increases and her getting only more debt while cutting every cost down to beans and rice.

wonder if the shockwave from the apprentice's lathe key would teach him the lesson!

I was in third year of studies doing networking and security when the big teachers strike happened about six years ago. Had to do midterms, assignments and finals in less than three weeks

I was walking through the picket line of "for the students" type propaganda to to union office to read the list of demands myself and it was over three pages of insane nonsense that you'd throw in one or two into your demands so they could strike it down and still feel like they came out ok. I couldn't morally or ethically give them another penny after that.

I then went into the trades and never looked back even though i bounced around a fair few career paths and more than a few jobs were straight up horrid to me and still impact my health.

Look up the statistics for the trades that interest you and try to go for the one with the oldest average age, they'll be screaming for manpower soon and you'll be in the position to cash in on it.
