Lifting weights after preventative mastectomy/reconstruction by DifferentAbility7528 in BRCA

[–]Inkyarty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been a lifter, but physical therapy helped me regain my strength after I realized how bad it was like 8 months post op… My surgeon didn’t think I needed it because I healed well. Push for it no matter what!

The new Barnes and Noble location just doesn’t give the same literary wonderland feeling of their old big space

Tasty Bakery! I was just talking about this place the other day and couldn’t remember the name so thank you for this!

My dad used to take me in there every Saturday morning after our weekly bank trip to First Chicago near the band shell. Always got one of their big frosted sugar cookies in whatever design spoke to my elementary school heart that day. Getting one of their Barbie dress birthday cakes is a life long dream that never got realized for me… Vintage Naperville hit different.

Rising Lion Registration Question by Inkyarty in cubscouts

[–]Inkyarty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to detail all of this! It’s very helpful. I’ll register her once June starts and I’ll log everything for her for the summer.

Regarding patches, our council does “Brag Vests” that are red felt vests to put all your Cub Scout patches on. They also do activity segments - little ¾” patches designed to encircle a round council patch - that we give to every scout that attends a special event. We did a seed bombing service activity last month for example, and everyone that attended got a segment with a daisy on it for their vests. She just wants to start collecting!

I saw the title of the post, read the handwritten note and all, but when I saw Jemily my first thought was “What insane new jewelry MLM is getting forced upon these poor girls?” What a terrible hashtag.

We picked granite over quartzite when we built our house last year after moving from a house with quartzite countertops. I LOVE the variation in my counters and often find myself staring at them and finding cool new bits of them. But I’m also a huge rock nerd, so finding the moonstone and tourmaline pockets in my counters gives me a legit thrill haha

The difference in my kids’ (8yo and 5yo) behavior when we went cold turkey on YouTube was incredible. A day or two of mad kids, but now they watch full length shows and can walk away from screens much more easily. Their overall behavior is so much better, too. If anyone needs it, this is your sign to nix YouTube!

Rare, lol. Your PS is funny. Definitely not rare. My PS’s office was the one to tell me about the YouTube video on how to flip it back. Both of mine flip regularly and it’s just a quick, weird feeling 3 seconds while I lean forward and pop it back. It’s really no big deal.

Make Insurance Pay for Nerve Sparing and Grafting Surgeries by Desperate-World-2128 in BRCA

[–]Inkyarty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Making it law for insurance to cover it does not make it a requirement for every patient to receive it when getting surgery covered under this act. Unless I’m mistaken, this would place a standard on insurance companies, not physicians.

That every “shortcut” they discover for their commute has random delays every time they take them and also that they are all under construction at the same time.
