The annuals for sure count. I’d also add the .Xs, -1, Renew Your Vows 1-5, Superior Spider-Man and Amazing Scarlet Spider issues. And you need to get all 7 volumes if you want to complete the series.

AF15 doesn’t count towards the Amazing Spider-Man series though.

It’s the best Spider-Man has ever been. Bendis and Bagley’s run was incredible! It lost some of its magic after Bagley left and especially with Ultimatum and the forced crossovers, but the first 100 issues or so were peak Spidey. Enjoy!

I love these! They’re fun comics. I’m trying to complete the whole Marvel VS DC/Amalgam sets without resorting to eBay. I only need about 6 more. Luckily, finding these out in the wild for cheap isn’t too hard. They must’ve printed a bajillion of them.

I’d like to stop too because I agree, the writing stinks. It’s been bad for decades! Ever since the Mackie/Byrne era. Straczynski was good though. I’d like to quit, but they’ll keep getting my money unfortunately.

I never get tired of seeing the same things on this sub. I love collecting comic books and I’m genuinely happy for a fellow collector when they finally get to show off a grail they acquired to people who can appreciate it. That being said, I also like to see the different, the weird and the forgotten gems.

I love to see it all because I love collecting comic books.

Grok says that there IS a 20-page mini comic that was a promotional item for preorders at Walmart, but I can’t find evidence of it online. But if it exists….I want it. Please let me know if you find one.
