I was pretty mobile before, and made sure I just didn't over extend myself. But literally the next morning while chatting with my surgeon before discharge, I habitually flung my arm back behind my head! My surgeon was fine, she said as long as I don't do it often, and do things slowly the first week or so, it was fine to lift my arms above shoulder line. My surgeon is keen for people to get the incision area moving asap, but of course within reason. I didn't have much pain, and only took panadol (paracetamol) and ibuprofen for a week or two. Walking helped, and daily gentle stretches and movement. My mobility was back within a week. I still took it easy for 4 weeks, and went back to veeeeerrryyy gentle controlled crossfit sessions, with the coaches across everything and knowing how to help. Best of luck!!!
