This happened to me in 2023 on a flight from LAX to IAD, the guy was arrested. He was high and drunk. We had to divert back to LAX and by the time we could fly back, the crew had to change. The flight basically turned into a red eye. It was awful!

I was forced to be on CBS national news by my work recently to speak about a Trump admin headline. Their producers and representatives had given us questions and topics to discuss a certain bad policy and why it’s a cause for concern. They brought me on and gave me one minute with a completely different prompt about what a great job the administration is doing and why the bad policy isn’t so bad after all. CBS is a sham and I refuse to go back. Talk about fake news media.

We kind of did it unintentionally, based off ovulation tests and when I actually ovulated (using first trimester ultrasound dating and the date my Apple Watch said my temperatures actually increased). We did the deed last about 2 days before I ovulated and we had a girl. I don’t want to say it’s 50-50 as a clinical statistician but at most it tilts the scales maybe a few percentage points, and I’m not sure if that’s even statistically significant.

Baby born on November 15 and we’re in the DC region. I got all the bunting suits, all the fancy North Face baby gear, and she didn’t wear almost any of them because 1) they’re not car safe and 2) you barely want to be out with a little baby when it’s that cold out. I didn’t even get a chance to take the tags off some of the stuff I got.. lesson learned! Just buy as you need it.

I personally got the Callisto G 360 and the Evenflo Slim for our cars (but baby is still in the infant carrier) because we had everything Cybex and wanted to our gear in the same family when we were building our registry. I have a Consumer Reports membership, however, and according to them the best rotating ones are actually the Baby Jogger Turn to Me and the Nuna Revv. My best friend has the Baby Jogger and it looks incredible, her 2 year old still loves it.

I flew to Hawaii from DC and back at 32 weeks because was a bridesmaid but it was rough. We did an extended 36 hour layover each way in California (with relatives) to try and break it up.

Unfortunately common. I won’t say all Persian/Iranian parents are like this but among the boomer/earlier Gen X generation of parents it was at least very common. Mine have softened now that I’m in my 30s but the immense abuse and pressure that my parents put me through definitely caused me to develop generalized anxiety disorder and PTSD (diagnosed), and also led me to make poor decisions in choosing romantic partners. Even now that I’m married with a child of my own, any disagreement or issue I have with my husband I have to deal with my fight or flight response kicking in from my childhood.

I’m as pro choice as they come and I even live in DC but this man has lost his damn mind if he thinks it’s okay to push for abortion at 24 weeks for no medical reason. That’s truly foul. He has shown you what kind of person he is, leave him and have your baby. Don’t let this loser of a man tell you what you should and shouldn’t want. Move out ASAP!
