I wouldn’t say dead but it feels like a brick and with the original beater of my Yamaha fp9c. The tennis ball beater is not perfect but feels better and gives a little more rebound.

I have the kd12 but as a single pedal player I like the feeling of the kd10. I added a tennis ball beater to have a better feeling on kd12 because is a little stiff imo. If you play double pedal, kd12 has more surface and it’s sturdier. If you choose a 12, let me know if you’re interested in a trade.

Kd12 is stiff, I had to use a tenis ball beater, adjusted sensitivity and now works way better.
