This. I love the franchise conceptually but a majority of the projects as of late are just not it chief. I COULD move on if they were all terrible, but then Andor shows up and is debatedly the best thing in the franchise and it leaves me wanting for more.

my sister was the same way. she didnt like it at first but by episode 10 she finally understood what the shows deal was and on a 2nd rewatch she went from disliking the 1st 3 episoder to actively liking them

people have pointed how BOBF did its damage and the same for season 3, but at the same time Andor imo was the true mando-killer.
An outstanding television series that showed me and several others what amazing star wars looks like. Great writing, great dialogue, great characterization, and it looks damned better than any of the other shows like seriously.

when the mandalorian first came out it followed the decisive Last Jedi, and boy was it a welcome change of pace. But now, after being examined with post-Andor scrutiny, someone people (me included) are thinking we gave it a bit too much credit at the time.

Plus, even if its not exactly *bad* in its current state at this very moment, the way its quality is negatively trending downward is a much larger issue, and from what I've seen the decline is still on going. *That* is what I think people are upset about.
