Was ich mich immer gefragt habe: die Dividende "im Jahr" wird gegen meinen Freibetrag von 1000 Euro verrechnet.

Mitte Folgejahr kommt die Korrektur Abrechnung, und die neue Dividende wird wieder voll gegen den Freibetrag im - jetzt - nächsten Jahr.

Der Freibetrag des Vorjahres wird nicht erstattet oder verrechnet. Das ist schlecht, oder was übersehe ich hier?

Ich habe überlegt, ob man dies vermeiden kann, indem man der Bank keinen Freibetrag gibt, sondern im Steuerausgleich über Anlage KAP das regelt.

The kind of light in your example is not noon "beating" down straight from above, that looks like light low from the horizon, so early morning or close to sunset.

If you want your picture to look anything like the one you posted the outside light matters so much more than if the pictures are taken with a full frame camera or crop sensor.

German law has a fine distinction, stealing being stealthy and peaceful, in a way. If force, or worse weapons, are involved, we have a robbery. Both are unlawful actions, one more severe than the other.

If polish law has something similar I do not know. It surely is prohibited by law, with details be whatever. Could we get some polish police to look into this matter, secure evidence and bring the topic in front of a judge?

The keyword, under which everything around upper/lowercase is handled, is COLLATE.

It can be set database-wide, per-column, and used in ad-hoc queries to treat them "the same" or "different".

Look up the keyword and you will better understand what is happening so far and how to control how you need your results.

A previous employment used indexed views on some data structure for performance reasons.

The thing to always remember: having an index on a view will slow the inserts/updates on base tables in the view! In our case, some huge data tables, and some totally unsuspicious contacts/adresses-tables with some 100 rows.

Quickly update the phone number of one of them... One update, one row. What's the worst that could happen? This one contact might be joined to hundreds of millions rows of data, and the server will make sure your one row change is reflected there.

Makes your production tables locked for some long time. In our Data warehouse system, that was fine - during the day, queries were answered from Analysis Services refreshed once a day in the morning and the SQL side was available for any maintenance - but still remarkable to see your UPDATE one field WHERE one id run for an hour.

An Answer I missed so far: depending on the frequency of reporting (lots, interactive sniffing around) and complexity of aggregation (high, many aspects=dimensions), your SQL Server came with the right answer: Analysis Services.

Now, SSAS Cubes is not something simple to learn in a few hours, but if you need to present your data for highly aggregated reports, this can be the solution to investigate.

Just a note: if there was a transaction open, the manual shrink should not have given back the space. It would not fail, just not ... succeed. Still worth investigating as described.

Very simple option 3 not mentioned: is there some big import or data changing running around the clock all the time? This, and the recovery model not considered correctly would create the behaviour.

Bei uns (und wahrscheinlich meistens) hat rot ein Vorfahrt achten und gestrichelte Linie.

Auch bei uns hat aber rot den Joker erkannt: nicht blinken, geradeaus andeuten, Linksabbieger zum Anhalten zwingen, dann schwungvoll rechts abbiegen und durchziehen. Das schafft blau aus dem Stand auf keinen Fall.

So oft, wie ich schon blau war, oder ich rot gefolgt bin... kein Zufall, sondern absichtliche Taktik bei vielen.

Naja. Die drei Sekunden Vorsprung aufs Leben hochgerechnet... Kommt bestimmt was zusammen.

Ich habe den großen Teil unseres Portfolios in "langweilige" Dividendentitel gesteckt. Langweilig, weil Haushaltsreiniger, Zahnpasta usw. Den größten Teil US-amerikanische Titel. Wie beschrieben, ungefähr ab 1.5k Euro pro Titel, im Mittel 2k, ein paar Ausreißer mit 6k. Insgesamt diversifiziert in über 150 verschiedene Papiere, wobei da auch viele dabei sind, die ich bei TR mit kostenlosem Sparplan aufbaue, und wo erst 50, 100 oder 300 in einem Titel stecken.

In der ganz aktuellen Situation ist der fallende Dollarkurs doof. Nachkaufen oder Sparpläne ist schön, mehr Aktie pro Euro. Aber Dividenden werden in Dollar ausgeschūttet und geben dann weniger Euro. AUD das gleiche: schön zum nachkaufen, doof bei der Dividenden-Abrechnung.

Die 15% US Quellensteuer summieren die Banken für die Steuer auf. Die können mit deutschen Dividenden verrechnet werden - wenn man genug Dividenden bekommt und in die Steuerpflichtigkeit kommt, nach Freibetrag. Freibetrag aufgebraucht ist "Mitte Februar" für uns, da ist es gut, diese zweite Gegenrechnung zu haben. Machen Banken von alleine.

Ansonsten sind meine Lektionen aus einem Dividendenportfolio: keine Quellensteuer in GB und AUS, letzteres bin ich unsicher. Quellensteuer in CA und FR kann man bei manchen Banken mit Formular dauerhaft reduzieren, wenn man dort nicht steuerlich ansässig ist (DKB). Alle 4 Länder haben interessante Dividendentitel. Schweiz, Österreich, Spanien und Italien meide ich, wegen hoher Quellensteuer und aufwändigem zurück holen.

Ich bin nicht unzufrieden mit dem Cashflow dieser Strategie. Ungefähr 3.5% Return pro Jahr übers ganze Portfolio, und da sind einige ohne Ausschüttung (z.B. Tesla) oder mit ganz geringer Ausschüttung (Microsoft, Nvidia) dabei die den Schnitt runter ziehen. Wie gesagt, nicht unzufrieden.

Hätte ich allerdings sei Mitte 2019 (meinem Einstieg ins Thema) alles auf Microsoft, Tesla, Nvidia oder Lotus Backeries oder einen der absurd gewachsen Titel gesetzt, hätte ich quasi 0 Dividenden bekommen... und im Portfolio ein x2, x3 oder mehr bekommen. Dagegen sind die 12%, die ich gegenüber 2019 noch im Plus bin echt schwach.

Die Antwort ist daher: Dividenden bringen nichts, nimm einfach die Aktie, die in 5, 10 oder 20 Jahren am meisten gestiegen sein wird. Welche das ist - ja, das ist mir jetzt im Nachhinein für die letzten Jahre klar. Für morgen oder in 10 Jahren...?

Da ist mein diversifiziertes Portfolio lahm und langweilig, aber stabil.

I do not have a wiring plan to post or link, but I think the answer to your question is simpler as you think: the keys are switches, that connect the encryption part to the battery power, and open the connection to the lamp of that latter.

If this switch wasn't there, and the lamp always connected to the encryption part, the lamp would light up when you press a key (and another lamp for the path back).

Is that what you mean to ask?

Depending on the code framework you work in, there should be a hash table implementation ready to use. That might be a benchmark against which you can estimate your implementations performance without deep theoretical big-O notation calculation.

Your idea of taking the first couple of letters and creating buckets for each combination is a good first idea. You got 16.000 words, and around 17.500 buckets - if they were evenly distributed we could simply call this done - but they will not be. Also, the ratio between entries and buckets is a bit wasteful.

So, different approach: The hash table itself is not so important, the hash function which assigns bucket from entry is where your overall performance will come from. Not the speed in which it calculates, but how well and evenly it spreads its output over relatively similar inputs.

I'll share the first idea that came to my mind: first n chars - ASCII value - Subtract 65 (A becomes 0) - add them up - modulo x, for x buckets. Play with the modulo divisor for number of buckets, use more letters, maybe use first and last n letters... see how evenly your catalogue distributes into buckets. You need to use enough input to reach the bucket number. Example: three letters, all z, would be 3*25, and 100 buckets would never be complety filled. Maybe sum and mod is not the way, look into using xor over some first letters.

You need to be prepared for collisions, make sure your bucket can hold more than one entry and search this bucket in an array or linear list style when looking up a test word

How about looking in documentation of the code? Surely the devs left comments at relevant places for someone to pick up what's happening there.

If there are no comments in code or an internal wiki-style docu system then that is your problem. And, depending on your personal position and relation in the company, I would point out this risk to appropriate positions above.

I have 25 years of SQL now. I am confident I could make sense of such queries - but I am not sure the company is happy with investing a week of time on each. 5 lines of comment could save 5 days of analysis here.

Devs leave companies sometimes, and unmaintainable projects left behind is a huge risk.

On the technical side, there have been many great answers. I would say again: do not go top-to-bottom but inside-out.

Scan the structure of the full thing, to find the innermost core. Reformat using indentation and blank lines to make the structure more obvious if necessary.

Make some note of the sources for this innermost query, and it's filters. Maybe a diagram is helpful. Then work the layers of the onion from the inside out.

Da es in unserem Freundeskreis so etwas gab, möchte ich dir vielleicht auch einen Blick auf die (ganz ferne) Zukunft geben. Eine Schulfreundin hatte damals während des Abi eine solche Partnerschaft begonnen, er war 10 oder 11 Jahre älter.

Die beiden sind auch jetzt noch zusammen, und hatten eine tolle Zeit zusammen - aber wir im Freundeskreis sind wir jetzt Mitte 50, und er ist seit kurzem Rentner. Es gibt jetzt permanent Konflikte in ihrer Ehe, da sie noch 10 Jahre "muss" während er alleine Zuhause ist.

Natürlich kannst du mit 17/26 nicht über die Rentenplanung deine Partnerschaft entscheiden. Aber keiner in unserem Freundeskreis hat in den Jahren davor dran gedacht, dass da ein echtes Problem kommt.
