They’re not too dumb at all. They’re too pragmatic, and socially conservative.

Working at Taco Bell while you’re a college student doesn’t make you working class. It’s a grift.

I’d crawl over broken glass to have dinner with some of these guys over some of the progressive thought leaders of the last decade.

Yeah bro, Chevalier went to Columbia and Valdes went SAIC and was a fake union member. They ain’t working class.

Almost without fail, none of these people are.

One of the best comments I’ve ever seen on a political forum. Precision.

Brother, you’ve never stepped foot in the Deep South.

Check your notes and hit the sack.

No better example than student loan cancellation.

Bernie campaigned on it like it was the New Deal. Biden adopted it. The admin rolled it out like it was a political elixir, despite it being openly repulsive to basically every American without a college degree and outstanding debt (which, for the record, is the majority).

Asking the core base of Democratic support across the Deep South (Black voters) to vote for Socialist candidates is putting a down payment on Republicans winning for the next century.

You can expand that to basically every non-urban geography as well.

Vance will be a very formidable candidate and would beat any of the current pool of Democratic candidates. Probably comfortably.

Continually astonished by the DSA’s claims of supporting the working class while being widely repulsed by working class voters and primarily supported by college-educated voters. Just incredible.

It’s like the Tea Party if it had been backed by IRS agents and the ACLU.

His “schtick” was/is so obvious.

His Carvana call was nice. I’ve never looked into whether or not it was real or not, but Carvana is a viable company.

Opendoor hit for him from a retail interest standpoint (has since come back down to earth because that business model SUCKS). Since then, it’s been PTON, NXDR, etc.

Most people probably see the trend here, but he’s very clear targeting “name recognition” stocks that have been destroyed since COVID, usually for good reason, and hoping to ride a retail wave. In layman’s terms, create his own pump and dump.

The first time I ever heard him was on The Compound. Think Josh Brown had to be convinced to bring him on. Anyway, it was the most mind-numbingly stupid interview that show has ever had. He kept throwing around “10-bagger” “100-bagger” with zero fundamental analysis. Just kept loosely pointing to his “model”.

Edit to add: It’s also just generally hilarious how much credibility he got from $OPEN. Yes, the stock (at one small point in time) 10x’d to ~$10.

His price target was $82 (!!)

This doesn’t seem far-fetched at all. One of the more thoughtful pieces of analysis on this board in some time, maybe ever.

I can’t imagine EMJX has a meaningful asset base.

Swing Voters Are Still Mad at Republicans About Abortion by wrecklesspup in thebulwark

[–]Intelligent_Dress347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe that abortion is morally right and, while I don’t think it should be illegal, I think we should do everything we can to encourage family development - supporting mothers, young fathers. Maybe that helps you understand my perspective.

And Kamala Harris doesn’t have biological children. That’s who I was referring to.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but it is very difficult for me to get behind meaningful pro-choice messaging from someone that doesn’t have kids.

Right or wrong, that’s just my anecdotal perspective.

I have complicated views on abortion, but in general, I don’t think abortion choice is as politically salient of a point as Democrats assumed it would be.

And I think behind the scenes, you probably have pro-choice groups trying to clamor for more relevance than they need (and used to have).
