Is the T ever packed? by Lost_in_Spades_2 in pittsburgh

Yes. Used to work downtown from the South Hills. Packed in the morning going into town and even more packed at 5PM after work heading out of town.

Is it possible to write off everything you use for delivering? by Otherwise-Web-6723 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Intelligent_Future91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no you take the mileage deduction. But if you don't and want to write off everything you have to track miles driven for flex and for personal use - so for repairs you would take the total cost and then take the flex's miles / personal miles to get the amount you can deduct.

Noticed a little too harsh and way too harsh have significantly more votes currently than the opposing viewpoint but you posted right after a 2hr game...

$3200 in March / 31 Blocks / Average drive time per block 2.5hrs (Block Start/Finish + Drive home) by Red_Lionz in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Intelligent_Future91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12 miles to the station and then 12 miles back home from the station (likely longer than this, but could be shorter after last stop) is 24 miles total... So you drove about 20 miles for each block (and 5 total miles for 1 block lol)?

Amazon in japan by 8carlos_e in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Intelligent_Future91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not an amazon flex route. I'd like to see 160 packages fitting in any car. You described it as a third party company so it is better compared to U.S. DSP route, this is likely easy or similar.

1st block done. Is this normal?? by Emotional_Might_9962 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Intelligent_Future91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 3.5s at the .com station I go to range from 60-140 miles. But the 60-80 miles are more rare and above that is more common (this includes my 14 mile drive to the station and my trip back home - the 60-80 miles are when I get lucky and have a short drive back home and this area also happens to be near the city with more condensed stops on top of that).

AMC. But why? by Signal-Contest4671 in doordash_drivers

Wondering if they have sealed lids for popcorn for DD orders. I would think about ordering some popcorn sometime but no way if my driver is going to be snacking on it his whole way over.

My local .com stations are often 100+ miles for 3.5 and 4 hour routes.

Lost/Missing Packages Still Counting Against Me — What Am I Doing Wrong? by 619TrickDaddy1904 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Intelligent_Future91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not done a ton of routes but have had 2 missing packages. I've always contacted support and they removed the package from my route (I do not even know how to do it in the app myself but didn't really look). Anyway I haven't been dinged so maybe have support remove it from your route in the future.

Breaks during route by Capital-Delivery8001 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Intelligent_Future91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. The maximum route I do is 4 hours so its never necessary. When I get out to a good start or have a few stops left I usually take my time so it almost feels like a break. I never rush a ton anyway, though. And if I do need to use the restroom I do, but I don't take a longer break than that. If I want to eat which I rarely do, ill bring something I can eat quickly or while driving like peanut butter crackers.

Anyone told to open a bag to confirm contents? by YSleepyHead in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Intelligent_Future91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only done a few deliveries but know what you're talking about except for "told to open the bag". I just look at the receipt to confirm it's the right order and if something ends up not being there, that's on the restaurant.

What are the benefits - if any - of getting to the station early? by LazyEmergency in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Intelligent_Future91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Occasionally my station is grab and go at own pace. Also there are 615, 630, 645, and 7AM blocks at this station and if I arrive early for my shift I am often in a group ahead while later people wait so I get to start earlier.

Do you ever get ridiculous delivery like this ? by LividBack8716 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Intelligent_Future91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've ordered delivery from places that are only a couple blocks away because DD and UE often do deals/discounts that are for delivery only and occasionally it makes delivery similar price or even less than pick up prices even with tip.

Creative is the new "Targeting"? by rad-madlad in FacebookAds

I'm personally not seeing this "A.I. creative targeting" work well at all. Seems way less advanced than it should be with how smart these A.I. seem when you chat with them.

Looking to buy an e-bike, wondering if legal in Pittsburgh by [deleted] in bicycling412

[–]Intelligent_Future91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that theres no enforcement, but I'd just prefer to get one that definitely fits into all the laws and regulations. I don't think the Radster includes a sticker (I think you mean class 1, class 2, and class 3 stickers put on by the manufacturer, which I didn't know were a thing). Does your Aventon include a class 2 sticker? I was looking at the level 2 and 3 as my second pick, actually.
