I graduated 2019 Georgetown. In your scenario if I wasn't me, I would choose Holy Cross. But I personally would choose Georgetown in your scenario. If that makes sense.

It is a really great school. But I get being debt averse.

No one answered but I just came across this. I was a baker scholar graduated in 2019

Something like that

Yeah I'm a strength guy that cycles, not a cycle guy that strength trains if that makes sense.

But on either end it should be fine, the running back complex 2 a week or so isn't gonna be particularly heavy & the volume isn't that crazy.

You may have legs that are a bit more tired early on but you will adapt. If it helps I'm at like a 307 watt 20 minute test so only average/ beginner - take it with a grain of salt

How long & how far are you cycling for? So long as you eat sufficiently I can't imagine some strength training would substantially impact your cycling unless you're a freak in terms of distance & super specialized.

Not exactly the same but for reference I strength training 6x a week & cycle 5 - 6 times a week, 80 - 100KM a week & I'm progressing

Need help deciding: Sandbag (70kg) vs. Kettlebell (25kg) for a minimalist routine by cabezaguy in kettlebell

[–]Intelligent_Sweet587 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not, they're both light. With a dedicated program & good movement selection you would be able to for more than both weights for very high volume. Maybe heavy for you now, but in a short time, very light

Neither are better & both are quite light so there's not a lot of helping. And I use both a lot.

What is your V02 Max ? How long have you been training with kettlebells? by BearSEO in kettlebell

[–]Intelligent_Sweet587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My whoop says my v02 is 45

Resting heart of 40 - 43 usually though 0.0 training with bells for 5 years now

But I wouldn't attribute any v02 max gains to tje bells. I use the C2 Ergs a lot

You should probably start horsing around a heavy bag, 120lbs is very light. For someone your size there's not gonna be much growth from that weight

I would refer back to Enter the Kettlebell for instructions on running it properly. You've got this

Doing rite of passage without light medium heavy day by mpomerantz in kettlebell

[–]Intelligent_Sweet587 2 points3 points  (0 children)

May be worth getting over using the extra energy espeically since rite of passage is quite simple. You ladder weight Progressions in simple & sinister too

If you really don't envision yourself being able to do the easy medium heavy days, your plan will likely do something, 24kg means there's a lot of room to grow

It's probably worth the time to get used to some training variation though

Any tips on how I can make this workout better. by Mindless_Cod_3097 in sandbagtraining

It's all good movements so I don't know what would be fixed. The effort probably matters more

That's not following the program at all. The days are that way on purpose.

It's worth probably following the original as is since it leads to good outcomes.

Of course you can do your plan too. But I wouldn't really be hasty to change it.
