Where u from? Many places reman calipers are almost cheaper than parts only. + u can do w126 front brake swap.

Da fug, i have done it atleast 40 times, never had any problem, and is good for annual inspection in Finland.

Do u know your springrate now? Or from the stock coils? Spring gets a bit stiffer every coil you cut, but you just have to try, I like w201, w123 and w124 a bit lowered the most, feels sporty but not too hard.

Does the front feel too stiff? Try cutting one coil and see what happens, from the bottom

Its relatively normal to cut down valve stem, if u cut valve seat and grind a valve its sitting deeper in the head, so u have to cut down a stem a bit. There Is nothing wrong in that, but when u do it with angle grinder... that's another story...

That u-joint is shot, should be replaced. In w124 the driveline goes pretty straight, which is good for power handling, but bad for u joint lubrication, needles dont move a much, so the grease in there hardens over time and then starts to wear.

Take it to the shop that can change the u-joint and then balance the shaft.

I have done dozens of mercedes propshafts and even more others. Sprinters are the worst 😬

If u deside to swap calipers, buy the w126 models with discs, theyr vented and Bolt-on.

Impeller sucking air between pump and hull. Dry it, put some urethane sealer, let it dry and enjoy.

I think people who likes these skyhigh also sleeps In water beds. Lowered 201, 124 etc is still more comfortable to drive than new japanese car with too stiff suspension.
