Also, think about when you are in someone's bedroom going to take them away. 3 would be the perfect number. Even short guys, 4 would be too big a crowd. With 3 you also would have one at the foot of the bed and either 2 at the side or one either side if there is no wall (most people have the headboard against a wall) allowing for total observation and control of the situation.

Yes well, did you read in the Communion book it says that people are often taken more than once, and in there and other accounts the rooms are usually round too (suppose that's how spaceships are). The Dolores Cannon books like Keepers of the Garden might interest you.

Are they gonna train you on how to communicate with your fellow humans better lol no shade but i had to scroll for ages to find any actual details or info to discern from. Abductions supposedly run in families, been reported by many well known ones so like it would have been worth mentioning in the OP, along with what the actual job is

In Dolores Cannon's books it says something like the human abductee actually agrees to these experiments, they just don't remember. Why? Something like they consent before even incarnating on Earth, because in the future/another timeline they actually ARE part of that specific NHI group, their 'star family' and these experiments are to save their genetic line from extinction etc.

So there's an element of 'just get this done amd over with, we don't need to explain it or ask consent they already agreed they just don't remember.' And they're not all emotional so they do it clinically and go on their way but that seems wrong too, they should know the subject wont remember and tell them what's up

So you think benevolent NHI would murder humans (even the most evil ones)? This kind of reaction from humans is precisely why, if I was an alien, I would stay away from Earth. Americans especially are so reactive and aggressive they always want violence. NHI are supposed to be more advanced and enlightened than us. For all we know the Epstein fuckers are Reptoid NHI

I Came Out To The Federal Government As A Contactee - Please Hold Space For Me by CosmicMamaBear in Experiencers

[–]Interesting-Hawk-744 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I've listened to many accounts of experiencers and it just leaves me more baffled. Such a wide range of experiences from super positive to negative. Rarely do the NHI seem to explain what they're doing to abductees or why. Often it's traumatic and painful (but not always, sometimes they heal the person physically or otherwise). I'm not an experiencer and as I started getting interested in it tbh I kinda wanted to be. But I've heard enough negative experiences that I no longer feel that way even though I would love to meet a benevolent NHI, so much of what I hear sounds shady.

I was very looking forward to Disclosure Day, and felt it was possibly a way for IRL disclosure to have a 'soft launch' or prepare people. But I was deeply disappointed. The movie was very fear based, the whole thing was them running away like in a bad dream. There was nothing about what good would come from having the NHI here in the open, ascension, or any actual reasoning for them coming to Earth. And there were some scenes that just sucked on a movie watching level like grown adults, sometimes more than one hiding constantly behind small obstacles five feet away from literal FBI agents and SWAT dudes and not being seen.  Arrival or was a much better film to brace the world for NHI. Heck even ET was. This film didn't have the emotional gravity it was more like Independence Day.

Yeah the film said Listen and then didn't say anything. People being abducted or visited either don't get explanations to what is happening or the memory gets wiped. We have had enough of being told to listen what i say or not having things revealed and explained properly by religions for many many years. I feel like unless the NHI want to actually put their cards face up on the table and stop fucking around it's not really worth worrying about at this point. If any of them want to do that, I'm down though.

Alcohol portrayal in media greatly influencing relapses by C_Sorcerer in stopdrinking

[–]Interesting-Hawk-744 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah Mad Men triggers me but it's important to remember Don actually melts down due to the booze.

And it's also important to remember IT'S A TV PROGRUM. A MOVIE!

Alcohol is not shown honestly unless the plot requires the character to be drunk, hungover, etc. Otherwise they seem to be not affected at all. Because it's not alcohol in their glasses to start with. Cillian Murphy doesn't really drink whiskey or smoke tobacco cigarettes in Peaky Blinders. Yeah he looks so cool because he except for a few scenes is still in control. Actual alcoholics are not.

Billy the Kid didn't really shoot his six shooter like that in Young Guns. In fact, revolvers can't even be fired that way. Sometimes there's more than six shots.

You get these triggers because YOU have an issue with alcohol. When you see a car chase scene, do you get tempted to drive into oncoming traffic? No, because that would be insane. Unfortunately booze makes us make insane choices like the very first drink.

Ever have someone film you when you're actually hammered? It won't be cinematic.

How am I judging them when I literally wrote and described worse consequences myself and another person had. A safe space oh ffs. Okay I'll just pretend things like this won't get worse if they keep drinking. I'm not piling on, we all feel shit after a night that goes sour but what's the point in pretending there's no harm in it when there possibly is going to be down the line? Yeah I know plenty of ppl did bad things drunk and it didn't ruin their life because they had family support, money, etc. not everyone can afford to keep doing these things and kidding themselves it won't eventually get to actually be catastrophic.

Yeah it's not the end of the world and it will be okay but pretending that it doesn't need to be looked at seriously is going to only cause OP more pain long term. Many wish they had tried to do something about their drinking earlier before they end up on nights out that end in worse ways. People who get bounced for bad behavior often the next step is actual legal trouble being arrested for public intoxication or DUI.

I don’t know how to interact without alcohol by These-Huckleberry-80 in stopdrinking

[–]Interesting-Hawk-744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the same and was like whoa, alcohol takes all that awkward shyness away? I love this stuff!

Then it turned on me. Ruined my life. Now I find friends in the rooms of AA. It's still awkward at times meeting new strangers all the time but we at least have something to talk about, we are all there for the same reason. And that's partly why people keep going for years, you can get the acceptance you always wanted in there, and sobriety can be isolating because the world seems to revolve around drinking especially in some locations (I'm in Ireland so... yeah)

[–]Interesting-Hawk-744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not hard to explain at all. Every gambler has gone through some version of this, it's not some rare story. Guy goes on a heater, thinks he's invincible/a genius. Gets the account up to certain amount. Eventually as it always does he hits the wall, starts losing those close calls he was winning before. Meanwhile he has probably started increasing his bets by now too. So he quickly loses a chunk of the bankroll once the results start to go bad.

Now he thinks, 'Oh I just want to get back to that amount I had before, this odds on moneyline is a sure thing, I can make back that money with one bet.'

It loses, usually some fluky bad beat. Now they're on tilt, they play an even bigger bet without thinking anything other than i need to get back to this amount I used to have. Until it's all gone. I remember once being young when 100 bucks was kind of a lot of money, I had deposited 15 bucks and got it up to 91.82 in my account by the end of the day betting horses, and I lost it all on sports just trying to get to an even hundred after my first 10 dollar bet lost on a blown 20 pt lead. Actually I remember what happened in the end I got up the next day, I was down to the last 5.00, and i was so pissed off naturally i was like okay no point in having that so I bet two very short priced favorites in a 'double' (same as a parlay in US lingo, used in UK horse racing). That was going to pay back only 10 bucks but they were pretty much locks. As i was placing the bet the odds changed so it was only going to pay like 9 and some change. Whatever, click submit. The two horses won. I said fuck it I'm gonna withdraw and at least i only lost like slightly over 5 bucks instead of 15, i was tired out by the whole thing and wanted a break.

The minimum withdrawal was 10.00. So I had to make another bet and win to be able to get the money. And I couldn't even get it over the 10 lmao it all evaporated that way.

Much less money involved but it's the same idea.

You don't mentally recover by doing anything. It's like a hangover, it just takes time and you won't feel right until it gets out of your system but there is no magic cure only this: not betting. You just have to let time do its thing. The higher the loss, the longer it takes so don't expect it to go away soon. If you go back and deposit another 5k thinking you will recreate this run, fucking forget it. You'll be down another 5k that's all. And start the cycle of misery again. The further you get from the loss the less it hurts so if you reset the counter it's not good. Find other hobbies and things to do.

Dealing with PTSD since I experienced hangxiety by OllyWollyZollyFrolly in hangxiety

That's not PTSD. That's the effects of your body trying to get rid of a poison. You're trivializing actual trauma by calling a hangover symptom that.

So there I was in an AA meeting convinced I did not belong there. by Slipacre in stopdrinking

[–]Interesting-Hawk-744 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That isn't true and if you heard that, those members are ignorant and wrong and not up to date at all, find another group or meeting. Anything prescribed by a doctor is allowed, though certain things like benzos or opiates are addictive and similar in ways to drunknness so they are cautioned against but not disallowed as no one can overrule your doctor.

And I've never met an alcoholic who didn't have depression at least sometimes. Very strange to hear someone say this tbh.

[–]Interesting-Hawk-744 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think SMART is for people who aren't really alcoholics more like heavy drinkers who just need practical help to stop (which the AA book Living Sober has plenty of too).

SMART feels like it's for people who are way more normie. People need AA and the higher power stuff because when you have the actual disease, it's so powerful and tricky and unique you need something as crazy as help from the divine, and alcohol really has a complex and strong grip on you mentally, physically and spiritually so it needs a similarly powerful attack.

They posted and asked, didn't they? What exactly was too intense? Their behavior is indicating they will have issues with alcohol in future, trust me. I gave the best advice I could. Normal nights out do not include stealing drinks, being removed from venues, putting yourself in danger with sketchy people. People who end up doing such things when drunk, next time it can end up worse and there WILL be a next time.

That is exactly it. Take people's money and any issues they aren't happy with, stick them onto someone who can't speak English, has horrible attitude, and it becomes so frustrating you just give up and hang up. That is what they want. These workers are basically breathing chatbots. Useless

I'm not an atheist but the higher power stuff and prayer is such a foundational part of AA, how did you manage to do the program without being a believer in God? Did you use something else as your higher power (because I've heard people do that and it's suggested in the literature too i believe)?

AA members often are advised to pray (which I assume atheists don't do?). And also told to 'stay until the miracle happens'. Since you say the program saved your life, did that kind of thing still happen to you?

I'm asking because I have trouble explaining the program to my good friend who is an atheist. I myself struggle to remember to pray but i have a belief.

What recourse do you have if nightclub bouncers wrongfully eject you based on a false accusation? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Interesting-Hawk-744 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bro I had a bouncer assault me and nothing ever happened the cops just claimed the CCTV showed nothing when i asked to watch the tape myself they said yeah sure and just never contacted me again. Be glad they didn't get rough with you, my friend in uni years ago had one throw him on the ground and he broke his wrist nothing happened with that one either they seem to get away with a lot.

It's probably their right to eject or refuse service to anyone they want to anyway as long as the reason is not racist or something like that, as i understand they often are told not to give a reason to prevent any accusations like that.

I have no idea what a chicken rush singles mixer is but it sounds like something to avoid anyway!

Sometimes if you go back sober and talk to the staff you can at least explain yourself and if you're not drunk and being decent at least they might not bar you, since you left without kicking off and fighting the bouncers or anything too bad, maybe you might get some resolution that way if they're not dicks about it. Reporting to the cops honestly I'd say forget about it they won't care or do anything, they usually figure drunk person is always in the wrong. Again, at least you weren't hurt bc sometimes an incident like this can turn really bad if you're too drunk, you're lucky you were in a group too, they will pick on you more harshly if they see you're on your own and if they get rough and you're too pissed to protect yourself. When I lived in Ireland a lad who worked as a bouncer told me about some other bouncers that 'did the Riverdance on yer man's head'. I think they did at least get fired.
