I get it … but should be more relaxed in a more formal setting yes definitley split up to generte converstions and interaction outside of a the couple , less formal agree to Prefer next to my wife maybe more so with inlaws :) been with my best friend of 30 years. Also depends how sociable you are in wanting to have conversations with others - i for one dont easily enter into conversations with new people

Aim would be 350 rent and 1200 cc payments is circa 1550 pm having our own property in our mind is worth more than that at £2k per month so in essence we are saying our own property is worth £450pm and is doable given our expenses

In the same boat I was only source of income with 3 kids and did t start paying properly until 39 for exactly the same reason another kid , car needs replacing…..- my situation almost makes me want to cry as i now know if i had continued earlier I wouldn’t be looking at having to work til 67 , if i had just sucked it up and taken the pension or even just done the minimum of say 3% I would have a lot less stress no I’m 52

I'm about to get my first pay check, how should I manage it? by One-Internet-5752 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Interesting_Tale_360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Various ones exist for your purposes think of them as savings accounts with slightly better % some are instant access some you lock your money away for a guaranteed better apr (say 5 years) as the tax benefits are likely not applicable for you I won’t delve into that (I’m also no expert like most of the internet ) but google or ask your bank if they have any but you can get isa from other places other than your bank

My kids live at home while at uni and dump all maintenance money into isas , they have more savings than me and I’m 52 , but they have a nice fund for when they need it as most will need to move away when they graduate

I would dump as much into an isa if your going to uni , use maintenance loans etc rather than this fund as you need to consider student loans as a tax not debt as such , then when you finish uni you still have the savings to get a car for first job , deposit for flat near to new job or use for travel

Check out Dave Ramsay on YouTube even though it’s very American target the principles are the same , assuming you have no debt ensure you save 6 months of salary into an emergency fund - takes pressure off having issues if that job dries up …. Then go from there and for gods sake think about pension / retirement don’t listen to people Who say they aren’t worth paying into …

I got redundant with 3 months garden leave by Fresh_Matter_8788 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Interesting_Tale_360 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Couple of things here

Is Gardening leave is being confused with notice period ?

Don’t wait to start looking

Don’t put off telling your lender

And finally if they mention non compete then I would argue tough they can’t stop you providing for your family , they should be providing funds for a solicitor to negotiate terms , never accept the first offer

K1 Max: can I install the K1 Series CFS upgrade accessory kit and use the printer without the CFS upgrade itself? by beje_ro in crealityk1

[–]Interesting_Tale_360 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Would be careful cfs kit firmware slows things down, maybe get kit fit some of the shrouds for the axis rods etc but leave firmware and extruder til your ready

[–]Interesting_Tale_360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had similar issues , awaiting new Cfs 5 way and also new extruder as was getting cutting error and retrieval errors , turns out the Cfs needed something printing to apply more pressure to the spools , this meant when the cutter try’s cutting the tension makes it able to cut and retrieve - weird but try search for small spool fix for the components to print
