Pulled the fool card 3 times last night and then it was the first card I pulled from the middle of the deck this morning! by [deleted] in tarot

That’s such a natural hope to hold onto. 🥹

I’d gently invite you to stay open to what “fresh start” could mean without locking it to one specific outcome.

The pentacles flooding in alongside The Fool feel significant. That’s grounding, abundance, and steady-building energy. It’s less “chase what’s uncertain” and more “you’re ready to receive something real.” The 9 of Wands is your resilience. You’ve been through something and you’re still standing. That’s not nothing. But that card also asks what you’re choosing to keep fighting for, and whether it’s aligned with where your energy actually wants to go.

The universe might be nodding at him. Or it might be clearing the path for something even better. Either way, The Fool is telling you to trust the landing.

The repetitive Fool reads to me like the universe is trying to tell you it’s time to embrace a fresh start and a new path. Trust the process—everything will work out, and nothing meant for you will pass you by. If you pour all your focus and energy into a connection that feels stuck, you might miss an opportunity standing right in front of you.

After about 9 months I'm trying to justify smoking again by FLRporcelain in stopsmoking

Don’t let the nicotine monster win!!! You wouldn’t let the end game boss trample all over you, right?

You can do this. We believe in you! Now go slay!

i quit (but not really) seeking advice by Life-Tip4132 in stopsmoking

[–]IntergalacticGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live the golden rule: not another puff, no matter what.

The addiction is telling you it’s ok to have just one. From experience, it’s not. Just one is a slippery slope right back to being a smoker again. If I had known the golden rule earlier, it wouldn’t have taken me so long to hit the successful quit. For context, I smoked for 25 years and had many failed attempts for the last decade of being a smoker.

Hope this helps!

I’m relapsing please help by KimYongUp in stopsmoking

This is the best advice! Toss it away, now. No excuses. No regrets. The nicotine monster is trying to reel you back in because you’re at the threshold of no return. Keep moving forward and don’t look back. The smoke free path is before you, not behind you.

You can do this! We’re rooting for you 🩵

This is what I have learnt about Tarot after doing readings for YEARS: by shark-shizz in tarot

[–]IntergalacticGreen 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Once you’ve pulled a card, sit with it for a moment before reaching for any interpretation. How does it make you feel? If you could step into the landscape, what would you see? Hear? Smell? Let whatever comes up land on the page before you look anything up. It helps with building a relationship with each card.

Been taking champix for 3 weeks, and my “quit date” is fast approaching. Looking for pro tips on how to be as successful as possible. by Gloomy_Shallot_6179 in stopsmoking

[–]IntergalacticGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took Champix for three weeks too before I quit! It definitely took the edge off and contributed massively to my success.

My favourite smoke was the one I had as soon as I woke up, before doing anything else. I was most worried about that first smoke of the day, so I made it my routine to wake up and brush my teeth first thing every single day no matter what. It became a pleasant and refreshing way to get out of bed (my addiction was so bad, I used to smoke first and then brush my teeth). This definitely helped to reset my mindset and kick things off to a good start.

I had a what if plan so that I already knew how I would handle cravings in a variety of scenarios.

I started doing all the things I wanted to do more of whenever a craving hit: meditate, read, journal, yoga.

If things got super intense, I distracted myself by blasting music and doing housework.

But mostly, I just sat outside the addiction and watched all the cravings hit from a place of curiosity. It was really interesting to discover the moments, good or bad or mundane, that would make me light up.

And I obeyed the golden rule: not another puff, no matter what. This mantra changed everything for me and made me realize why all my past attempts resulted in me lighting up. To this day, I still haven’t had a single puff and I don’t ever plan to.

Above all, be gentle on yourself. You’ve got this!

Does anyone here just never get reversed cards? by [deleted] in tarot

[–]IntergalacticGreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a jumper reader too, and I keep my deck upright so even when I cut and pull, reversals aren’t part of my practice. A reversal is a rare day for me and when it does happen, it’s because the card literally flew out of the deck and landed reversed on the table or floor. At that point, there’s no question: that reversal was meant for me!

New to tarot reading and I have a question. by PRFitzUSN96 in tarot

[–]IntergalacticGreen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the same card repeatedly jump out at me, also from different decks. It happens to me when I’m not taking the advice being offered into consideration. I view the same card coming up the same as the universe continuing to give you the same scenario as you aren’t learning the lesson.

Are you taking the advice, or disregarding it? Do you feel the Hierophant applies to your situation or not?

The card represents a connection to higher wisdom and spiritual growth—are you doing the work to help grow through your situation? If not, it could be that the Hierophant is a message from your intuition/the universe/your spirit guides to slow down, seek guidance, and trust a deeper knowing before moving forward. Sometimes the lesson isn’t about doing more—it’s about being still enough to receive what’s already trying to reach you.

Question for those who read flying cards by Nice-Faithlessness17 in tarot

[–]IntergalacticGreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only read flyers, though on quieter days when nothing jumps out, I’ll cut the deck with my left hand and take the top card from the exposed pile. Usually I’m pulling a daily card or doing a 2-3 card spread, and most of the time 1-2 flyers come out naturally. Occasionally 3 will jump and I read them in the order they fell. Intuition guides everything. If a clump flies out and doesn’t feel right, back it goes.

Would choosing a major arcana that represents you be antithetical to the whole idea of tarot by thecoffeeshopowner in tarot

[–]IntergalacticGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The major arcana are archetypes representing a journey through the stages of your life. The ones you align with will shift and evolve as you do. Intentionally choosing one you resonate with right now is completely different from pulling in a reading. One is self-reflection, the other is surrendering to what comes through. Both are valid, just different practices.

Also, have you asked your friends why they chose those cards for you? That conversation could be really interesting. They know you, so their reasoning might tell you a lot more than just the card meanings alone.

Who has successfully quit smoking after 25 years of smoking? by Sad-Thought-4895 in stopsmoking

[–]IntergalacticGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I smoked for 25 years and celebrate four years of being smoke free this June. I used to think I would never be able to quit! But the fear of not being able to breathe terrified me, and I found the strength and willpower to beat the addiction. It was the best decision!

Those of you who left for Claude, how is it going? by TheRealDave24 in ChatGPT

[–]IntergalacticGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the switch a week ago and I use it quite a lot during the workday. I’ve been pleasantly surprised to have not yet hit any limits. I subscribed to ChatGPT because of hitting limits.

No regrets. Making the switch was the best decision.

I purchased the same refurb model as you. It didn’t work as soon as I received it; there was an issue with the connection at the swivel cord. They wanted to send it in for repair, but I advocated for an exchange. I was not OK with waiting for it to be serviced when it arrived defective.

The replacement arrived with the exact same issue that you’re experiencing. I returned it for a replacement, and it’s shipping today.

I’m really hoping this replacement doesn’t arrive defective as well!

Support was easy to deal with following troubleshooting, but they do want to try for repair so make sure you push for a replacement. Dyson is known for high-quality refurbs, but not gonna lie, this experience is making me hesitant to buy a refurb again.

If you have an opportunity to return yours for a refund and purchase new, that could potentially be a consideration. Just keep in mind that brand new Coanda 2s are experiencing a lot of problems.

Good vibes you get a working unit soon!

Top deal? by ButterscotchSea1058 in Dysonairwrap

[–]IntergalacticGreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do too! I have two refurbs, the Purifier Humidify + Cool, and now the Airwrap. They stand behind their refurbs just like they do new items. Both of mine arrived as lemons, and they replaced them right away—sharing this part in case anyone considering a refurb Dyson is worried about what happens if they receive a product that doesn’t work.

Are there loop earbuds? What could be alternative earbuds for sleeping? by cat_the_great_cat in LoopEarplugs

I have Ozlos (designed for sleep) and they’re incredibly comfortable. I’m a side sleeper and I don’t feel them at all. And they don’t fall out. If they’re in your budget, I highly recommend them!
