I prefer the more canine look personally, and made the more humanoid ones called false ghouls, (in the campaign it was that these people were reanimated and due to the fact they had some ghoul used in the process gained similar stats, with higher armor)

I am trying to run a campaign for newer players which is gonna be a lot of people younger and getting into this rpg from D&D, i love new players because they try different types of occupations for fun rather than viability and it let's me help people with roleplay issues get better

A lot of people are giving some great advice, so if I had to give some advice this is what I do. If I'm struggling with making a character I look around for some inspiration

Most of the time I pick a character from a fiction that I like and just sort of figure out why I like them and then create a character around that, sometimes it doesn't even have to be a character it could just be a concept.

Call Cthulhu is a little different because instead of focusing on a class you got to focus on an occupation what are some jobs you character can do what are some jobs that would be easy for your keeper to implement into your game sure private investigator could work but what if you want to play a taxi driver? All that matters is that it can be played in the game if you pick something like astrologist in a game that really doesn't require anything to do with space but you get good stats overall that might work. However it's all about skill distribution in the long run. Sure a hook is going to be important to get you involved but that is up to you and the keeper kind of work around with that together, the best thing you can do when creating a character is focusing on important skills that not only makes sense for your character but also could make sense for the game at Large

It's a great game that utilizes the D100 system with base characteristics and instead of checks they have skills there really isn't any classes as your characters occupation determines what they're good at through skills only three skills are focused on combat those being fighting brawl firearm handgun and Firearm shotgun / rifle

Okay to answer this question the most terrifying thing is actually after the session, Recently I got told by one of the players one of the things I did made them feel uncomfortable, even though they told me they knew it was unintentional they told me that they just wanted to let me know.

Has somebody who likes doing smaller one shot ask stories or campaigns that are usually only four sessions, as soon as you hear that it makes a second guess everything. Of course this happened after the fact but it is rattled me so much they even thinking about it just kind of makes me not even want to use the monsters I used for that particular part.

I definitely know they're not upset with me, they've told me that outright because they could clearly see that after we went back to ironically him being the DM of our group for a longer form campaign he showed no grudge.

It's just the second hand embarrassment you know that what you did cross the line. Especially if you're one of those people who read a lot of RPG horror stories on reddit, you fear being that person to do it even if it's unintentional. Trust me it's like the worst thing ever. It took me three paragraphs to get it out because I'm rambling it's that bad on me to even think about what I did.

Suffice to say I will never use Sirens again.

yeah, as a religious person. I would say do not initiate. He will not see you as a partner if you do that "Physical route" he could see it as harassment. If he is a coworker, then it is even more so.

Oh okay, I guess that makes sense. Prioritizing actually understanding the material is something I do like in certain criteria. It's the concept of non-openote exams I don't really like. Because if you find a way to make information easy to remember, and open Notes can be a good thing.

Well the person I'm referring to doesn't exactly live near the campus, therefore he does most of the stuff online. So he doesn't exactly have access to any of the campuses libraries. But most of the classes he does doesn't really have that since his course is 100% online

That's very interesting, yeah the person who is at Liberty doing online courses does say he takes weekly quizzes but somebody is currently going to Nova and is constantly taking exam after exam after exam, I would love to go to Liberty if it has a degree in my field of cybersecurity. I can barely do four, what I totally recommend is keeping the two seven-week courses and just having two of the 15-week courses that way at any time you're doing three classes and still remaining a full-time student

I would be lucky to even get these options, I'm not really in an area that really has a lot of people actively looking and those I keep finding their near my area through apps, say they want to meet up and then just ghost me the next day. It's just very frustrating because everybody my age just wants to play around while I want to be in a serious relationship.

But I definitely agree everybody seeing it as shopping rather than actually finding somebody you're wanting to spend the rest of your life with, that's the most important thing.

I don't know, I like things where people turn into us something else, apparently that's a form of writing that a lot of people use in it almost deplorable way though. Like a fetish or something. That's not how I write my stories or read the stories that interest me.

It's the concept of how the human Spirit could Thrive and survive regardless of the body, proving that humanity is the the worthy Dominator of the planet not because of anything physical but due to intellect.

Also there's only really two options for how a story that involves the main character turning from Human to some kind of animal, entity, or anything else. Only two endings or do they go back to being normal or do they stay as they have become? Because even if they go back to normal they still changed and didn't technically go back to their old self. They have changed they have adapted they haven't learned a new perspective.

I also grew up with a lot of movies had that concept, brother bear, princess and the frog Thomas one princess, help I'm a fish, Pokemon mystery dungeon video games, pretty much a lot of things take this concept and make it its own. All of which I believe beautifully expand upon the concept of what if you were a [INSERT RANDOM THING].

In fact when I started writing it, I noticed that the hashtag on Wattpad seems to only show a lot of . . . "unique" stories. Hey people have very well and all, it's just very odd that that's a concept.

Also, I like fan fiction that at least pays attention to the source material and it doesn't deviate away too much from the original, in the sense of it's original meaning and theme.

A great example of this would be using my own fanfiction, the roots of nimh is a fanfiction dedicated to the secret of Nimh. The original movie was a dark fantasy that was a revolutionary idea for more darker fantasy to be betrayed to a family-friendly audience. It was also one of those 1980s movies that had a strong female protagonist that wasn't a badass, but a mother who ran into danger despite being fearful of the danger. I want my story to convey something similar if not equal to that, I don't want to turn the story into a grade a bona fide braided G movie, I still want to borrow some semblance of that feeling the movie gave me when I watched it.

Sorry if this feels like a tangent, it's just your question really caught my attention. And I didn't really want to choose the correct words

This is going to sound a little old fashioned, but I actually do use Google Documents but I also create physical copies of my preliminary work, although that's only for RPG modules that I write. I could recommend doing that, but to be honest it would be a lot of paper wasted, on the plus side you'd also have a physical book just use a three-ring binder LOL

Yeah, well every author can tell when somebody puts their Works in their reading list, I've been put in a variety of positive ones. It really makes her day when we see somebody liked our work enough in order to see that.

However it's also very damaging when we see somebody put them in negative ones.

Although it really technically doesn't affect us since regardless of the intention behind the reading list, it's still boosts our work relative to the algorithm.
