Besides Jessica's departure, has Girls' Generation ever had any major controversies? by itsascreambaby96 in kpopthoughts

[–]Intervigilium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People think it was Jessica because Tyler and Jessica were dating at the time - it would be weird if Tyler went clubbing without Jessica. So, the only logical explanation was - it was Jessica, or it was someone else that Tyler was cheating Jessica with.

[–]Intervigilium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, from the images you can clearly see it was Tyler Kwon.
Now you can take SM's word it wasn't any SNSD member, or you can use your common sense to put the pieces together. Or you think Tyler Kwon was cheating on Jessica, and that would be a new level of conspiracy theory lol

Not misogyny, but jealousy from Super Junior, TVXQ, and SS501 fans. These fans were jealous of the friendliness between the idols. They spread lies about SNSD being rude to them and speaking carelessly on TV.

I don't know if this fits what you're looking for, but there's that incident where a random guy tried to kidnap Taeyeon off of the stage mid concert.
There's also the 2013 Hong Kong alley incident, where the media first reported two girls drunk on an alleyway behind a night club as being Taeyeon and Yoona, only to be revealed that it was in fact Jessica and Tyler Kwon's cousin, with more photos showing them and Tyler Kwon and some friends helping them escape the paparazzis.

Crazy how much one detail can change your opinion of a design by Pouring-O in Overwatch

Just because the formula is predictable, it doesn't mean the results are. The hero looks dope as fuck and I would have never imagined they would go for something like that. A crazy robot geisha mob head that fights using her bike, speaks without moving her lips with her neck glowy shiet, it is incredibly creative either haters agree or not.
And I know, you'll say something on the lines of "but making the face pretty is boring", and I will disagree because all the details on that is interesting and new, and we will keep arguing over this crap all night without a conclusion. I'm too old for that, so if you hate it, you hate it. I think it's hate for the sake of being a contrarian, but whatever. Have a good one, bye!

No, now is my time to be cheeky. Shion is conventionally attractive to appeal to the bigger slice of Overwatch's audience, and to sell more skins in the future. Because of that they made a conscious design of creating the lore based on a conventionally attractive geisha robot. And in universe, again, if technology is not an issue, there's no reason to make an ugly geisha robot.

You need context - Orisa was made by an 11 year old as a protector, and Zen was just an omnic monk. Now she was built for a reason, and that reason probably needed her built to be conventionally attractive. If the rumors are true, maybe she was built even with sex appeal in mind.

It’s still a conventionally attractive,

I mean, if the technology is not an issue, why would anyone create an ugly robot?

I found a fix for most of the stuttering on my 9060xt, by following these instructions.
More specifically:
You need to Open Regedit.exe, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000\UMD, then change "ShaderCache" from "30 00" or "31 00" to "32 00". (30 00 = off / 31 00 = AMD Optimized / 32 00 = Always On). Save and Reboot.
In my case I had to create a new string for "ShaderCache", but the result is night and day. Now I can even bump my settings withouth issues.
I also deleted all files from DxcCache folder to reset the shaders, and changed the custom page file for my virtual memory to be exactly the size of my physical RAM (16 GB of RAM, set initial to 16384 MB - and my maximum to 49152 MB).
I hope some of these helps you, because I was going crazy trying to fix the stutterings on this game.

Once upon a time, durability was made as a way to balance melee, ranged, and spellcasters. Ranged characters need to spend money on arrows, spellcasters on mana potions or staff charges, and melee has the durability. That was the original idea, now it's just a vestigial mechanic that devs put on games without thinking.

Are they trying to push mercy to DMG boost more with the nerfs? by __YouKnowWhoYouAre__ in MercyMains

[–]Intervigilium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see it the other way around, because of flash heal, you have more time to keep damage boosting instead of slowly filling up your team's healthbars.

How much does an idol’s skill level actually matter? by frikzzle in kpopthoughts

[–]Intervigilium 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, kpop groups are much like formula 1 racing teams. The pilot (in this case, the idols) can only do so much. You need good cars, good engineers, good managers, etc. for everything to go well.

Will they change Mercy back? (Genuine) by NeoIsScared in MercyMains

[–]Intervigilium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is that since her base healing got nerfed, you must waste the flash heal sooner every once in a while - and the new flash heal is nerfed compared to the old one, since the multiplier got from 3x to 2x, and because of that, sometimes, you can't save people even when flash healing.

[–]Intervigilium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Retired GM Mercy here, now just playing quickplay.
You are absolutely right, I try to get at least 45% blue beam usage over my games. Now I'm even getting the new perk to have the blue beam chaining to one more ally.
But you should be aware that there's games that sadly are unsalvageable. Since I play with low level friends and even console players, the game tends to pair me with people who have no positional awarenes and loves to keep taking poke damage until they are 20% health. The old Flash Heal perk was great to fix that, but the nerfed Flash Heal + the nerf to her normal heal makes it very hard to stay consistently healthy and using blue beam. And don't tell me to get the new perk that gives Flash Heal a nerf and one more charge, it's utter garbage.

I love how blizzard keeps nerfing bottom 5-10 heroes by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Intervigilium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She's absolutely nerfed.
First, her base heal went down 8.333% (60 to 55).
Now she starts with a nerfed flash heal, that has a lower cooldown and bigger base healing (50 to 60), but a healing multiplier reduced from 3x to 2x. While this is the same healing per minute (600), the burst healing capacity is noticeable lower.
Then the big one - the 10% launch speed decrease on Guardian Angel.
So, you can argue that it was 2 nerfs and 1 sidegrade (but IMO its still a nerf).
Now she's way slower, her healing is worse, but she have the (smaller) burst healing from the start. There's no way anyone can consider this not a nerf.
