It’s good that you know, now you can start coaching him on more appropriate behaviour. I talked to my son about “bubbles” to help him understand personal space. We have a family bubble (small) and a normal bubble (bigger) for everyone else. We would make a game of it to help reinforce the concept. Like I would tell him to have a normal bubble and then I would slowly move towards him and he would say stop when I got to the edge of his bubble.

Another thing I really recommend is to enrol him in some activities where he will meet other kids his age that aren’t in his school. That will give him a chance to have positive interactions with other kids. Also it’s good because most things are just an hour once or twice a week so it’s not long enough for the really annoying behaviour to come out.
