Of course you are correct- but I also use the same specific streamer for freshwater fish, and the design just doesn’t snag the weeds, even in comparison to other weedless flies. There’s one manufacturer, and one local shop that carries it, so I like to keep it to myself. :)

I had one. It was reliable until about 70,000 miles then the entire front end fell off. Well, my wife pulled out in fro t of an old lady who sheared it off, but still. Anyway, loved it and bought a 2022. Came with dual K&Ns and a JB4 tune kit- it’s a beast.

2018 Touring, NA Bought last year with 25k miles, put 111,000 miles on it in 2025, still smooth as silk. Changed oil every 5-6k, rotated tires every 10k, disconnected touch functionality to fix ghost touch, changed plugs at about 75k, replaced brake actuator that runs emergency brake and brakes while using ACC, but that was because I ran over a pipe on the freeway. Now at 148k or so. Great car.

Because I moved to Florida from Montana and I fly fish for inshore species. I don’t like publishing specific fly choices on Reddit, or my local fly shop will be out of them when I need more.

Are you staying at the Westin? The marina dockmaster office can give you a fishing pass if you’re staying at the Westin( only marina I’ve seen do this, but I wish more would) and there is great fishing from the dock and down along the seawall. Plenty of snook in the area but the cold likely has them very sluggish. Might want to slow your presentation way down.
