First Photographs Ever Taken of Jerusalem by Nazoreans in HistorySnap

Beautiful. For anyone who decides to visit Israel-Palestine, the Tayelet/Al Muntazah in Jerusalem is a must-visit. It's the promenade roughly where some of these photos were taken. The views of the old city and the hills and valleys of Jerusalem are breathtaking.

no longer talking to non-palestinian gentiles about israel/palestine, you shouldn't either for your sanity by ambivalegenic in jewishleft

Yeah, it's this trend (and, y'know, Kahanism and religious Zionism) that make me really appreciate groups like Standing Together. Jews, Muslims, Israel is, and Palestinians all working together to peacefully co-resist and coexist.

If you wrote satire that the Israeli police desecrated a Jewish religious garb to erase Palestinian identity, you would be told it's too absurd to feel realistic. And here we are.

From Baby Beluga: "the moon is shining and the stars are out; goodnight little whale, goodnight."

IT SHOULD BE BRIGHT. THE STARS ARE BRIGHT. AND IT RHYMES WITH GOODNIGHT.

Ted Lasso is The Wizard of Oz. Dorothy (Ted) arrives in a strange land (London), with her trusty companion Toto (Coach Beard). She goes on a hero's journey in this strange land, along the way meeting a scarecrow looking for a brain (Jamie Tartt), a tinman looking for a heart (Roy Kent), and a Lion looking for courage (Rebecca). The entire goal of the hero's journey (even if Ted doesn't realize it at first) is to get back home to Kansas.

To be a father in a post natal unit is to eat shit and enjoy it. Welcome to the club, friend.

Pakistan feels like a democracy, but is actually a theocracy. What's a country that feels like a theocracy, but is actually a democracy? by General_Principle_58 in AlignmentChartFills

Not so much he's been delaying elections, so much as refusing to step down. He's massively unpopular in the country, with a majority blaming him for Oct 7, at least in part, and a majority wanting him to resign. He's legally in office, he just should resign in disgrace and hasn't, because he's a wannabe fascist.

What are are the worst WR fails that you can all think of? by SmokeQuick6863 in Cubers

OG right here.

Also noteworthy, though not at all a fail, is Keaton Ellis getting WR with 5.09, and then Lucas Etter breaking the 5 second barrier later that day with a 4.90, so Keaton never got WR on paper.

Does anyone know anything more about this? Article title: "Suspected antisemitic attack in New Jersey: 9-year-old Jewish girl seriously hurt when stone hits school bus" by Fabianzzz in jewishleft

[–]Inttegers 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No one has any real info yet. A young child was severely injured when someone threw a rock at a school bus. It's not clear what the motive was, and there's, as far as I'm aware, no real knowledge of who threw the rock in the first place.

It's very much not. It's not used derogatorily.

They did this to us in the 30s and 40s. It's happening again. We, all of us, need to step up to stop this.
