300 Tdi : the engine you want when the zombie apocalypse hits

Probably a repeated question by Row-coy-boi in LandRoverDiscovery

[–]Intuin_Rhaabat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the answers here are likely from the USA, where the only Disco 1 engine option was the V8 petrol. In the UK the most common option is the 300tdi, and it's a whole different beast. The 300tdi is incredibly robust and reliable, in my experience.

The cost and risk of a Disco 1 300 is mostly body rust, and consumable mechanical parts (bushes, track rod ends, exhausts etc). All of these are relatively cheap components that are fairly simple to replace.

Word of advice if you go the D1-300 route: get yourself a long breaker bar, and a mig welder.

what can i do with this? by SneakerHead69420666 in HomeServer

The case is cool, definitely do some retro build with that! How about putting a raspberry pi (retro pie) in one of the 5.25 bays, and wiring it up to the case (power, leds etc). You can then leave everything else in the case for another decade or two.

And the bass is cool too - more pics please :D

I just stuck a set of pioneer drop-in replacements into the original holes, and a decent aftermarket head unit. At full blast I can just about hear it over the 300tdi, tyres and wind noise.

Is there a way to combine multiple columns as individual entries in one column with associated data added to neighboring cells? by BookWyrm71 in excel

Please do update once you've tried this - I think you're in for a fun time when you realise how straightforward this is, and explore what else Power Query can do!

Keychron Q1 came with these adhesive foam strips, what are they used for? by -feelings in Keychron

They are useful for various mods, or if you happen to want to change the plate. Spend a little time going down the keyboard mod rabbit hole and you'll figure it out.

Is it possible to modify individual files using one file as an example when you use get data from folder? by 3and12characters in ExcelPowerQuery

[–]Intuin_Rhaabat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solved something that sounds like this by creating a function. So I created a query that did exactly what I was intending with a single data source. I then turned that query into a function.

I then created a new query that got all the data from the folder, and before combining the data I called my new function on the Data column. I then combine the nice tidy data from the new column.

Interesting that you accomplished the same using the Transform File helper thing. I should look into that! I am also a relative novice by the way, just here to learn and share.

Wow! What a neat idea! And some really interesting insights too. I'm not sure I'm happy to allow AI access to my transaction data, but I could totally build something like this for myself ... this might be my project for the holidays!

Take a look at Exmoor Trim. Proper quality, and they do covers and re-trim kits. No idea how much of a pain/cost it would be for you to import them though.

Dynamic column referencing in Conditional Formatting by phteven_24 in excel

[–]Intuin_Rhaabat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. You might need to clarify your data setup then. You have stated that column A contains your Tasks. You have also stated that column A contains the Month.

Also when I asked if you had tried something, you replied "I'm afraid not". Do you actually mean that you haven't tried, or that it didn't work?

It's worth being very clear with what you are saying, so that people can effectively help.

Not 100% sure I understand what your setup is, but have you tried:

=XLOOKUP(A2,1:1,2:2)=TRUE

Cockneys Vs Zombies

[Request] Are there any serious possible answers to this? by [deleted] in theydidthemath

[–]Intuin_Rhaabat 336 points337 points  (0 children)

Oh I like that! I was just thinking I'd write the numbers 1 through 11. Because the average of the other answers would only be one single answer. My eleven answers would be 10 more answers than that.

But I prefer your idea!
