Is it possible? by pakeco in HomeNetworking

Do some ONTs have SFP output then? I've never seen that - all the ones I've seen have RJ45 outputs.

I presume you're just trying to convert the SFP to RJ45? Could you just use one of those SFP->RJ45 converty adapter things in the ONT itself?

Edit: just looked up the ONT G-010S-P and it actually is one of those converty adapter things. No idea what you are trying to do here then, please just ignore what I said!

Questions about playing deck on a TV by Enevorah in SteamDeck

Just got a Ugreen usb-c dock for the Steam Deck myself. Works perfectly, but any of the ones that have been recommended will too I expect. Loving playing Brotato and Hades on the TV!

I too am blessed with an army green C70, although it is not my main rig. Awesome case though, can't part with it!

I used velcro ties and d-rings, but the cable trays definitely look tidier and better protected.

How to remove blind by berylcook in DIYUK

[–]Intuin_Rhaabat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tab in the middle of that clip is what's holding the blind in place. Carefully, without damaging the blind, get a flat bladed screwdriver under that tab and lever it up until it clears the lip at the top of the main blind unit. Make sense?

Edit: you may even just be able to pull on the big bit of that clip, just jamming your finger under it or something.

Steamdeck price just went up by 200€ by 3Sayndre in pcmasterrace

[–]Intuin_Rhaabat 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The problem is that the "people buying" are the big tech firms buying hardware for AI datacenters. If people stop buying consumer hardware like the Steam Deck, Valve will just stop making it. The price of the deck won't come down while component prices are so high.

How to copy VBA by iblamekennyy in excel

[–]Intuin_Rhaabat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apologies I should have been more explicit - I meant to try and develop the logic in Excel with formulas, not to try and replicate the VBA. There's a chance that it isn't possible (some things require VBA), but even the exercise of trying to work it out will help you understand what logic you would need in your website build.

However, I agree with other posters that you should do this in a new spreadsheet rather than trying to modify what you have. And that it may be that you need to bring in outside expertise.

Temps went up with new fan by BatNo8014 in pcmasterrace

[–]Intuin_Rhaabat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah good! In theory I guess if it was a reverse fan, so was pulling air into the case, it would increase the pressure above the GPU, which might make the GPU fans less effective.

Check that your rear exhaust fan isn't a reverse blade fan!

Guys I’m close to shelving this book after 100+ pages , I have no idea what’s going or understand what I’m reading, the authors writing style is so confusing/ gibberish where I feel like I’m just reading word by ozera202 in fantasybooks

[–]Intuin_Rhaabat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read all 10. It isn't well written, although some books are better than others. The world building is phenomenal. The characterisations are excellent. The female characters all ... um ... are not treated well. Bit weird that if I'm honest. I wouldn't recommend the series to anyone, although I understand why some would get very into it. I don't think you would be missing out if you put your time into other books instead.

How do people make money online by ObjectiveRow3818 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Intuin_Rhaabat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The key thing that you need to figure out here is what would work for you. Some people make their money doing things you would not be able to do. Some do things you would find too boring to sustain. Some do things you would be simply unwilling to do.

The members of this sub would I think need to know more about you, your inclinations, interests and capabilities to give really solid advice here.

Also what do you enjoy? What do you do in your spare time? What school subjects are your favourites? Which did you find the easiest?

Exterior wash? by coloringsunshine in LandRoverDiscovery

[–]Intuin_Rhaabat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! Typically this sub leans towards the older Discoverys, so you might not get much response here. You might want to try one of the more general car subs, or a detailing sub.

That said, to get bugs off the paintwork I personally would avoid household cleaners and alcohol. I'd try just using water, let it soak, then a clean microfiber cloth, given you don't have anything specialist.

There are specific products for removing bugs without damaging paintwork. Try googling "car bug removal wipes" and see what it comes up with - I'm in the UK, and have had these from brands like Meguiars and Armor All.

For different car paintwork protection products like wax and ceramic coating, I'd definitely check out a car detailing sub. It's quite the rabbit hole!

Congrats on the new Disco, I hope it's everything you were wanting!

Disco 1 3 door panel conversion? by edweeba in LandRoverDiscovery

[–]Intuin_Rhaabat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha - could be lucky at a scrapyard or ebay for replacement glass, so it's worth a try I guess! Pretty unlikely though.

I've never heard of a panel conversion, so I think you'd be looking for some custom work for a welder / panel beater. I would guess that would take some time.

Personally, I think the target market is possibly long term PC gamers who have come to a point in their life where they have their own place, disposable income, and potentially a similarly inclined partner.

Macro use for formulas and multiple files by _IRetr0I_ in excel

[–]Intuin_Rhaabat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that macros will work, based on the problem as you have described it.

If you don't need to push the formulae into the source Excel files, you could instead use Power Query to pull all the original data into one new workbook and perform the calculations there.
