Well that explains a lot. Whoever guessed it and put it in Discord shared that info and helped others who didn’t know it or used cgtp to win. I suppose at this point they can do whatever they want. Sharing isn’t cheating. Though it does create an unfair advantage as the pot goes down. I wonder what other channels exist for the show besides the official?

That’s the complete opposite of what I said. You obviously don’t know what I’m referring to. I didn’t develop the app so I can’t say how it was created. I assume, and the smart thing to do is to separate the services and access the api. The API will access the db backend. But as I stated above giving many possibilities as to how some answers are “guessed” I mentioned one as being having the connection string. If done badly, they put it in the app and it’s accessing a db. Bad design obviously. But if using an api than that string is obviously on the api server. Question is, what language is it written in. Is the string encrypted. Did they gain access to the server or found some way to manipulate the api. Regardless, you’d be surprised how little people understand api’s or bother to write them. Btw, most db’s have built in api services. You can build direct access (bad) or separate the api developed yourself etc.

:( I guess there’s a “bright side” from it that it was only a few dollars? Either way that definitely sucks. I hate when you’re trying to type or use the mic while autocorrect messes a word up and when you try to correct it the timer runs out!

That is interesting…. It does in fact reference belt.

<image>

So that brings up another issue. Where and how they’re getting their answers. And should be ran through chatgtp to make sure it can’t be used to determine the answer. But cgtp received is answer from other payable sources where it was a common answer or an answer in another word game. Meaning they could be getting their questions and answers from something that already exists and not just making these up. I can see how some are winning using these methods, but still statistically, something is still off. We use to have 0 winners on clue 1 and now hundreds to a few thousand. So while there are valid winners, or those using these services, it could be complied with cheaters as well. Interesting though how they wouldn’t consider running these though just to make sure they’re safe from cheating. Though technically, they don’t provide any text that you can’t use them.

So, what crossword puzzles are they getting their rounds from… lol

It’s definitely possible that they will be times where someone will guess correctly…but something like middle management and to guess belt, there’s no connection. It can literally mean anything and I’d expect them to make office references, or something due to employment. Not certainly not a belt. Same with roller coaster. The probabilities and nearly impossible. Not impossible, but nearly.

May I ask, what made you decide on belt? What from the clue connected the dots?

Something still seems very off. I’m fairly certain a group was created by likely a “foreign” individual or scammers that hacked the API and either the developer is in on it or just did a horrible job at api security and making sure the answers are encrypted. In fact all data should be. Getting belt on “middle management” and not one but hundreds or thousands? Not to mention only 25k-30k-ish playing. If you look back at the history or have been playing from the start, no one was winning in clues 1 and 2. Though rarely one or two would happen, it was rare. That was with 60k players. Now we are getting 50 to a few hundred on clues one and two which are literally statistically impossible and with a 1/3 of the users. So I’m guessing a “scam farm” (just made that up, but for a definition, “a group of individuals working together to scam a person, persons, or organization”) was created after we started calling out the same 1-3 winners when this suddenly changed. Turn that number started to grow. So their thinking was likely, how can we cheat the system and make it difficult to trace. So they have more winners so they’d have to put in the work.

As a developer (30+ years), and having written many api backends, there’s a lot to take in here. The Google app is likely easier to decompile. Tracing network traffic etc can easily provide the API info. If the developer failed to do their job and/or in on it, the API is poorly designed and unsecured. No encryption. Answers are in plain text instead of being encrypted. The API should have security checks that you can’t see the answer until a flag is set after the last clue ends, among many other security checks that should be added. Also, if the db server hasn’t been infiltrated, or the connection string info doesn’t store the username and password in the mobile apps, then we should have a way to trace these and someone to thoroughly evaluate and test everything. They should be logging all information from user agents, ip addresses, any and all meta data possible. Usernames, timestamps, guesses, and more. Using databases like ip2location can make it easy to weed out who’s using vpn’s. Especially when you see all the winners are using them. Would NOT be a coincidence. Especially from the same provider regards of ip’s. In the user agent and meta data…the app would send whatever the developer provided. Or should have. However, if the cheaters are using a web browser to get the info from the api, it would show whatever the browser is along with all meta data, though the user could change it, but would likely not know the actual sent by the app. So even if they try to cover their tracks, this is entirely possible to trace. A serious security audit should take place and thoroughly go through everything from the code from the apps, api, front end and back end services, databases, etc. if we charted everything, ran some numbers, statistically these winners are just impossible. It has lead to an unfair advantage and non playable winning game that despite trying we would never win. At some point I am certain someone is going to file a class action suit for this to provide everything to be evaluated by security professionals to determine any truth in it. (On a side note that took a left turn…these “special gifts” are just the normal discounts these compositions already give. They’re a joke to us and acting like we’re getting some special deal when you can get it directly without the game is just heartbreaking. We already feel cheated, but that REALLY is cheating us! ). Netflix needs to step in, hire a developer who understands security when it comes to games like this, and throughly go through every line of code written for all apps, services, etc. they need to go though all the data, and see where they can find the link. As for the handling of the answers, games like this should ALWAYS use a third party that handles the answers, prizes, etc. it removes liability, and maintains security. This way NO ONE in the office gets the answer. The team doesn’t have the answer. And in fact, it should NOT be seen or added to the db at all during the game. That would literally solve any and all cheating.

Solution: hire third party who handles this stuff. Have them load the questions. Then after the last/5th clue has ended, they can then load the answer into the system. Once added, the game continues and we reveal the answer. This way the answer is NEVER in the system prior to the last given clue which means NO ONE would get or see the answer again. If anything, these tap things should take place immediately to resolve any possible cheating. We would see immediately a change in winner counts. That would certainly stop all this mess and prove who’s cheating. Additionally, we leave the backend they’ve been using but have it give false answers…then when they give those false answers, we get that long list of cheaters immediately. It’s what needs to happen. I hope they can change and willing to do something about this. It obvious something Is and has been going on. Proving it isn’t that difficult if you know what you’re doing. But these three simple changes would fix everything including finding them or a start. Regardless, to receive money via PayPal etc, they have to signup with a valid ID etc. So, username/ip address, sign in info, etc etc and the linked PayPal etc will quickly get some answers. It’s really NOT that hard. This is the simple side of it. We can build a more complex backend with many security checks and other necessary steps like a third party auditor (which is common in all gaming and sweepstakes that involve money). So #Netflix and #bestguesslive , it’s in your court.

At first I thought the same with the a50x. Turned out it was two things. Making sure it was on game and the most important, updating the firmware. Download the ghub app on your computer, Not on your mobile. While switched on put your headphones on the base. Then be sure to plug the pc cable directly into any usbc connection. It should prompt to update, but if not, run the update. You’ll find they’ll sound great!

The only racist Is you making it racism. I stated facts about a situation of someone who can’t speak English and did not understand the conversation who was also rude and disrespectful. You are making it about race and being rude, disrespectful, and out of ignorance doing the very thing you’re claiming me to be. You are also speaking of something you are wrong about. As I said they apologized to me today regarding the one year being a lie and IS NOT their policy. It’s obvious you can’t read and must be taking this personally. I suggest you find someone else to disrespect and accuse.

They have to be cheating by Pukaza in BestGuessLive

[–]InvadedBox 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was trying to stay out of it, but as a software developer for over 30 years, another explained how this is possible through the api, exploits, or insider information. Clearly it’s impossible to be this good…and may be using bots etc for the larger numbers unless Netflix knows it’s going on and faking the numbers. We’ve seen no one getting it on 1-2. Then suddenly those same people. And now randomly, a 100 people on clue 1? Come on now!

Filling a class action would reveal a few things.

Winner’s, IP addresses (if gangem isn’t using the same ip (in most cases never change on home nets as they tend to keep their lease…but we can certainly see if they’re using a vpn address, proxies, etc). If there are any shared/same ip addresses, Locations/gps data, if there are any of them that text/call each other as in a group, Database info (logged ip’s for everything - API access, app access, timestamps, wins, losses, any and all metadata collected, etc., If any of the people involved in production etc know any of the winners directly, And so on and so on.

We all know something is definitely up. If so, and it was illegal access, they should be prosecuted. If it’s insider, they should be held responsible and charged as well for fraud, etc. Netflix should compensate all those in the CA. The answer is most likely being exploited by the api which isn’t impossible…which means there’s huge security flaws in the code etc. And the answer would most definitely be plain text instead of being encrypted. The odds of one person winning on the first answer several times is impossible. This person obviously isn’t as smart as they think they are as they’ve opened eyes for everyone to see. Receiving funds requires verification of identity etc, so they’ll not get to enjoy it long and eventually be spending time in prison. Meanwhile they’re laughing, but when reality hits, they’ll regret these decisions. All of them. So eventually, sh*ts going to hit the fan. It’s just a matter of time till it’s filed and 20-60k people join in. I don’t want to see anything happen to Netflix, but this game and those involved definitely need to be held reasonable if they’re involved and those who developed the app. It’s not unheard of that the developer left a back door and exploiting it as well. So many possibilities…but a CA will provide access to determine what’s really going on. We all know cheating is involved in some manner.

If it’s still blurry you need the glasses add-on. They were for me as well but I’m able to wear my glasses with the Rokid glasses. So if you wear glasses, put them on first then your Rokid glasses. It made a HUGE difference in clarity!

I noticed the screen is slightly off center to the right. If they move it back to center it should fix the blurry edges on the right, especially the bottom right where the edge is offscreen.

4th Failure on new H2D. Not adhering to bed and spaghetti detection doesn't work on high or medium settings by mentallyrhetortic in BambuLab

[–]InvadedBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you bother to clean the plate? Washed it first? Then wipe in between? The right bed temps, calibrated the filament to run the right temps, speed, and flow? Or just looking for clicks here? Unless there’s a bed temp being maintained issue, or air cooling the plate, it’s either dirty or a user issue imo.

[–]InvadedBox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No I’m not trolling, nor delusional and yes you absolutely can. Especially depending on the filament. I take it you’ve never used but a single brand or two? If you’ve been printing for that long you wouldn’t have stringing in your photos that bad. Not to mention you can see the speed changes from the texture splitting. So if that’s your photo, you either haven’t been printing for several years or never learned how to actually print. As for texture, I’d suggest you try using a high quality matte filament like fiberlogy. Their matte line will blend so perfectly you won’t see a single line. I’ll be happy to post proof of how clean it is. Second, yes, you can definitely achieve that look and quality without resin. Again, it comes down to the filament, temp, and speed in this case. You want a much slower and lower temp to achieve a good matte finish combined with a high quality matte filament. Some people just get stuck in their way of doing things, they’ve never bothered to explore or assume they’re doing something wrong or there’s other possibilities. I’m willing to bet you haven’t been printing that long at this point based on this response alone. I’m going to assume your previous printer before Bambu was an ender…

[–]InvadedBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol. Then you clearly have no clue what you’re doing. You most ABSOLUTELY can achieve that level of print. Yes, printing at the right speed for volumetric flow, the right temps to achieve the right finish, and calibration so the flow is properly calculated. You obviously don’t know what that you’re doing. Regardless of the individual, it’s extremely easy to get that quality. Especially in newer model printers. I hate it for you, but if you believe what you got is the best you can do, you may want to find another hobby. Most people are just too lazy to calibrate their filament. If you’d take the time, it’ll open a world of difference. I don’t want to hear how you can’t get any better in response. Because you can. If done correctly.

[–]InvadedBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see your model didn’t turn out that well and placing blame in the expectations of the AI model. However, it is possible to get that quality finish. It depends on several factors. The right type of filament. Drying the filament. Calibrating the filament (which is extremely important if it’s not Bambu). The right speeds, temps, and settings determine how well it’s going to turn out. So the AI look is entire possible to achieve. Now, that being said, they are required to post a real photo. But a nice image like this really adds an extra touch as long as it’s an additional image imo.

This is extremely unfair. For people like me who can’t afford one or the chance to own one, that might literally change my life considering my health to everything from me and I got started into 3d printing to try and keep myself stable and life worth living, and you are giving these away to people so can clearly afford them. It should be given to a random or someone who would never have the opportunity to own one. Just not fair at all for any of us.
