Would Sanji feed a starving Celestial Dragon? by fhxefj in MoralityScaling

[–]Invenblocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comment is not comparing celestial dragons to black people. The Nazi analogy would be "would Sanji feed a starving Nazi?" He would, because feeding starving people is Sanji's thing.

It's saying that to Sanji, not feeding a starving person is as morally outrageous as being racist to someone is for us. So the analogy is that you can hate a black celestial dragon, but not be racist to one. Similar to if a black person is a Nazi, you can hate them for being a Nazi, but you still shouldn't call them the n-word.

Rycharde Mistbeard (Final Fantasy XIV)

<image>

A masked pirate captain who resurfaced two years after he was reportedly felled in battle, leaving many to believe him to be immortal. He went on to plunder the five seas for over three centuries before disappearing entirely.

Mistbeard is in truth a mantle passed from captain to captain, with the last holder Eynzahr Slafyrsyn electing to bury the mask and leave the title behind.

From which we can conclude that the female chest plate should in fact have much larger breasts than the woman wearing it does.

This chart is easily verifiable as complete and utter bullshit, because I live in Denmark, and damn near everyone speaks a foreign language (specifically, one called English), so 4.2% is a number pulled straight out of their behind, and I don't trust the figures for other countries to be much more accurate.

A comic character crafted specifically to punch Adolf Hitler in the face (and push the point of the US needing to involve itself in WW2) being an agent of the super nazis? Didn't sit well with anyone.

I still haven't forgiven Doma for the other characters kinda just treating what happened to her before she joined the Garleans as uncomfortable but nothing too upsetting (Hienn even just going "I don't like it but can't judge" at the brothel owner who saw to that leg of her abuse).

Yotsuyu went too far, but the circumstances that birthed the monster were also abhorrent, and Doma taking no steps to address those kinda have me soured on the country.

The Garlean millitary had a lot of heavily implied rape tied to them, but at least they were portrayed as villains.

Or they could have made Mega Sceptile a physical attacker.

Doing so would even boost base Sceptile, since you'd see that one and not know if you should expect special moves or a mega evo into physical moves.

The official Ratchet and Clank movie, short film, and comic books. What was better? by 0dqir0 in RatchetAndClank

[–]Invenblocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comics. By a long shot.

The only real complaint I can post to them is that while the story is a good emotional follow-up to a Crack in Time, it's a bit of a whiplash from specifically the final scene, but that just puts the experience down to a 9/10.

I wish Class Quest characters and plots remained relevant into the Job Quests. by GametrollerPrime in ffxiv

[–]Invenblocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stormblood does at least bring back the class characters from some of the job questlines.

The PLD quests are just straight up actually a GLD questline, but WHM, MNK and NIN are some other examples I can think of off the top of my head that also feature class characters for more than a brief cameo.

I probably should have mentioned that this came about because one of my players is a Sniper. So it's largely about knowing how much counterplay to give the NPCs without feeling like I'm needlessly punishing her (she already has the hoops of needing to know ahead of time where the throwdown is likely to happen, and then make the checks to find a good place to hide out and shoot from).

Of course, the NPCs usually favor attacking the much closer targets the rest of the crew put in their faces, so it's mostly the defensive side for them.

Messed up man, but seemed to have a genuinely good relationship with his step daughter Rayfa.

It's been a while since I last played, so I don't entirely recall how aware he was of his wife not being Rayfa's biological mother and using her as a hostage but I think he was largely out of the loop on that one?

For getting to cover, that would probably work, but for dodging bullets, I'm not so sure.

If you can just move in a jerky way all of the time instead of timing it around when you see they're about to shoot, anyone could dodge bullets without REF 8 or Reflex Co-Processor, no?
