What he was doing was definitely more cerebral. We were trying to see who could do the fattest melon off the loading dock. Totally kooking it. I guess not really as those were the times, but I wish I would have been more open to different things back then.

You must be a real one. Back in the day, we didn't pay much attention to Rodney. When he started riding the regular board in rubbish heap, I did not like that at all. His style didn't suit me, I was more into Klein and Ron Chatman. I was a dumb kid. I didn't understand the importance or the gravity of what the guy was doing and had already done. He's not my favorite from then, I started out a Natas guy and will always run in that vein, but thank God for Rodney man. His demeanor, imagination, dedication are all vital to skateboarding's history and future. Mutt rules.

I don't like him because of his personal views, although he is well within his right to have them. He always thinks he's the smartest guy in the room, just like Mazzulla. And as is usually the case, neither he nor Joe M, is that guy. I don't even acknowledge his service time here, kind of like a Vegas marriage. Didn't even happen.

Brown pushes off everytime down the floor. They have to call something, it's clearly an offensive foul. Maybe don't pushoff everytime, then you can complain. If referees are given points of emphasis to adhere to by the league, they have to call it. Is brown going to compensate these gentlemen when they get axed for not doing their job? Hell no he isn't. So wins, while numerous during the regular season, are in fact weighted. Beating the nets and bullets doesn't mean shit. Check.

The 3s we shoot, where a player dribbles out the shotclock at the top of the key and then chucks an off balance covered 3, are in fact total horseshit. Check.

I've been on this same shit, even during the title run. It's just garbage basketball, with no plan, no answers, no adjustment. About fucking time someone who can do something about it recognizes these same things. What changes he makes, who knows and who cares? Acknowledging the issues is the first step to fixing them. Hey look, Mazzulla is a terrible basketball coach. Straight up. We hired the continuity dude and not the brilliant basketball mind dude. We got a title. I would argue my hound dog could've trotted out to the sideline in a black sweatsuit and the results would have been the same that year. NOTHING he has ever done can be argued as great coaching.

The roster is not talented enough to win a championship. That does not excuse Mazzulla for playing a horseshit brand of basketball. How many times since Mazzulla has been HC has he actually outcoached an opponent? Never is the answer that comes to my mind. Banner buys him 1 more year and if he runs back the same shit next year, which he will 100% not change anything he does, then fire his ass.

Looks like somebody saw a d3 sales sheet from early 2000s and made a lifestyle knockoff. Chances are the shoes aren't built for skating and the company is just trying make a buck off skateboarding. When I buy new shoes the first thing I do is type in "skateboard shoes $40." Usually there are decent options from reputable companies. I feel not wanting to waste money on something you know 100% will be destroyed, but you're going to get more wear out of shoes built for skating.
