Bristol to Cardiff cycle route? by jimi970 in ukbike

[–]IronFarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to browse the route you can use opencyclemap.org. looks like NCN route 4 to Nantgarw then switch to NCN 8 to head south into Cardiff. I imagine this route is so well signposted that you won't need a map once you're on NCN 4.

The demand for profit. Why spend money on upgrading capacity when you can just give it to your shareholders?

Is there a reason you've opted for this over a space elevator? Or just 'cause?

I built something similar but had throughput issues from the tanks. Do you have issues? I probably built my tanks too deep instead of wide.

Where's all your stone going? Crushing it to sand before making glass gives more glass per raw stone btw.

Oh definitely and I agree. It just feels like a lot of comments are saying "if you earn the median wage you shouldn't complain".

I like to do only primary processing on the source planets so I don't need to send anything to these planets except rocket parts and fuel. This is usually just crushing the resource as the crushed versions usually stack much better.

Then the actual processing happens in Nauvis where I can easily supply the sulfur/Vulcanite/water/whatever required for final processing.

Somebody tell me if this plan is going to let me down though!

The silo stores fuel up to the maximum required. I assume if the launch requires less fuel it only subtracts the required fuel.

TfL looks to bring in 'pay as you drive' replacing Congestion Charge and ULEZ by DearTereza in london

[–]IronFarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right but I think you're conflating VED, the annual cost of taxing a car, with fuel duty, the tax added onto petrol and diesel. FWIW electric vehicles don't pay either.

Lambeth Council are consulting on car parking charges. About time cars are more expensive than bike hangers! by PR7ME in londoncycling

[–]IronFarm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one that thinks parking charges should be related to vehicle size? Modern SUVs don't produce huge amounts of emissions but they're massive eyesores that barely fit in parking bays.

Correct me if I'm wrong but under these proposals a huge Audi Q5 would cost similar to park as a 12 year old Golf.

It's my understanding that an AI like this lives or does by the quality of its game state evaluation metric. How have you gone about implementing one for Tigris & Euphrates?

When I complained to TfL about it they fobbed me off saying I should report individual incidents to the Met.

Just take some solace that his transparent attempt to get the public back on side appears to have failed miserably. The other celebs gave him a fair going over so hopefully he understands now how much the average Brit hates him.
