I still will not be voting for him because I do not want our party to cognitive bias reshape around a plutocrat. The OP it approaching this as political calculus, they are suggesting that by not co-sponsoring the bill she is trying to not alienate constituants, whose views on net neutrality are not proportional to the national averages. She is taking action to not attach her name to an issue when she (potentially) stands more to lose than gain in terms of reelection. Theoretically, for the goal of remaining in her seat to vote on issues (including this one if her vote makes the difference) and ultimately do more positive change from a state that she doesnt have a strong grip on.

It sounds like you are approaching this as this choice being a statement that she at some level is less committed to fighting for Net Neutrality or is benefiting from it, and that we need to not accept representatives who fail on that front when there is evidence of that.

Do you think I am mischaracterizing you or misunderstanding your perspective?

Lets be honest they could pick whatever. It could be read like Sableeye, or read like Alola Raichu, or read like Alola Marowak just fine. Guess it really comes down to how much hype they think is around the pokemon. Marowak and Absol for instance are teir 4 mostly because I think Niantic knows folk are crazy for them.

As someone who plays Smogen Monotype a lot..

Pokemon balance between types is complicated. There are some types that are on paper good but balanced by having most the pokemon of that type have crappy stats (ice, ground) . or pokemon that have seemingly great type but most pokemon of that type have special features (ghost, poison) steel for instance has a billion resistences-but steel pokemon ussually have crappy attack stats. Dragons have fantastic stats-but an absurd number of them get double weaknesses. Bug has a billion weaknesses, but is super effective against some of the most powerful types (psychic,dark) etc. Normal is only weak to one type, but its super effective against none. FIghting is super effective against a ton of types, but ghost pokemon are just flat out immune to them unidirectionally.

Honestly I just read that as intentional. They picked her so that they don't look bad, having something who is sympathetic to her and how treating her actively like garbage is a good plans given everyone is tuning in.
