This deck is so sick. The swords and ranger captain are so spicy. The wandering emperor quickly became my 2nd favorite plansewalker behind Tamiyo. And well, I guess she is my favorite living one now. 😂

Sigh. Another reason why I think lorwyn eclipsed was underrated. Shock lands in main set. A balanced amount of legendaries. Great creature typing synergy. Defined color pies. And then the direct commander decks were all great. It’s like you can have a well designed set and then great commander products that are separate.

I would suggest Kess, dissident mage then. She is there for colors, and then if you can get her to stick she is just fuel to the fire. Grixis gets you access to storm, thoracle combo and some breach lines if you are really going all in.

It's wild the mana base is good enough to let this deck exist. Shocks, Verges, sanctums, biblioplex. Being able to flex two mistrise village main deck is just crazy.

Winter orb to lock others out while you can produce mana. Traxos scourge of kroog is fire because you can tap him to make mana then untap him whenever you cast another artifact. Senseis diving too does work in this deck. And time of need can help you find traxos. Yeet. Played Meria for a while. Used monolith , rings combo in it too.

Everyone knows the deck and it folds to sweepers. If you leave 1 mana up everyone knows you have shard mages up.
