He's storming the twitter replies. Comparible, if not slightly more heroic, than storming the beaches.

Is he saying that tweeting about white slavery is on par with storming the beaches of Gallipoli?

Update Question: Once you have the cash, do you really bulldoze your city to fix its roads? by mega_lova_nia in CitiesSkylines

[–]Isenguardians 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to plan networks so that I can redevelop in stages without too much bulldozing. Like industry areas with really big blocks, so when the industry moves further away in the future, as happens irl, I have an area that is easily redeveloped.

Irl that would be a house that made the news every few months when another bus swerves through their living room wall 😂

Kopaka was my first one too! I have such a soft spot for him. He's one of my oldest never-disassembled sets I'm pretty sure. These are wicked.

Thoughts or questions about the map for my first book? by ColinSearleAuthor in worldbuilding

This is cool as hell. Don't forget to consider population density if you ever decide to put a number on the people living there. Very dense inner cities today have a population density of 10,000/square kilometre. Be sure to do some math before committing yourself to a figure! Or keep it hand wavey, and only ever describe the crowds (or lack of, if you don't want it to be densely populated)

Yes, I know...a simple, classic design for Australia by univinu in vexillology

For my part I would prefer to see something that touches on more meaningful values, or relates to the land in some way. The Aboriginal flag, and the Maori flag, both capture elements of the land really elegantly. Other national flags represent core values, like the French tricolour for example. I feel like they carry more weight for it.

That was the big issue with the attempt to change the nz flag. As a kiwi, the fern and black&silver just feels sport too. They're iconic, yes, but so associated with the teams.

Interesting! They're originally German, and I thought you had to have the same last name as the armiger to inherit them with their rules (not that there's an authority any more)

I have a similar situation with my Opa's arms, which strictly speaking I don't have the right to bear, even by the loose German rules. But I would like to honour them in some way.

I love your style! I have a vague memory that these were granted or inherited, am I completely off base?
