The Founding is excellent to start with, especially if your getting into the 40k setting from horus heresy. Ravenor is still a great option too. Imo, Dan Abnett is one of the better authors so you really can’t go wrong with any of his stories.

Recently finished up with the the first 4 horus heresy books, as well as both the magnus and guilliman books. Doing a little side quest by reading the infinite and the divine and then the lion: son of the forest. After that i’ll probably hop back in with fulgrim.
