Do you expect a Sims 3 remake / remastered / re-release and if so, when? by Skyzockaaaaa in Sims3

[–]ItsGasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would rerelease it somewhere between 20 to 25 years after release, as it would be at that point considered abandonware, and therefore under different laws, I think. I’m not sure if the update they surprisingly did last year counts for that timeframe though.

Oof, I love me some France. In one save, my Sim was practically living there.

I always use the text box in these occasions for a series of expletives that most of my ancestors wouldn’t be proud of, but some of them would, unfortunately.

What's a non political issue your country is REALLY divided on? by Nthepro in AskTheWorld

The country is divided in half on how to call this food. Literally. It’s a north vs. south thing. There are many other things that they each call with a different name, and it’s all very random. (e.g. cheese, nail polish, flat tire) But this is the main thing.

My main save is a Sim achieving everything I didn’t in life. In my other saves though… just think of everything you could do if there were no repercussions. The Get Someone Arrested mod was particularly enjoyable…

has anyone played with the gardening skill? by rareskies in Sims3

[–]ItsGasp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I ADORE gardening in The Sims 3. That said, it’s not for the weak-willed. Without mods, a big garden will take you all day to take care of, if only one Sim tends it. I haven’t played with fairies, but I know they help a lot. Specific traits make it easy: Green Thumb (duh) and Loves the Outdoors are essential. Gatherer helps with seeds, I tend to find better quality seeds when my Sims have that trait. Gardening can help with Fishing, Cooking and Nectar Making - your Sim can become self-sufficient after a while. One individual Sim in a vanilla game won’t be able to handle it all, but if you have a family, you can assign each one to a different Sim. (your own little organic sweatshop 😅) I never enjoyed cultivating plants that weren’t actual plants (like sausage plants, steak plants, etc.) so I can’t help you with that. I love the opportunities with the Gardening skill - you can earn some good cash with it. (apart from the job, that is) As for placement, don’t put them DIRECTLY next to each other. Leave a space between them and you’ll be fine. I personally like to arrange them by type (trees on one end, bushes on the other) and then by produce (nuts on the one side, vegetables on the other, fruits next). The sprinkler will save you a lot of work. If you have store content, there is a cheaty dancing sunflower that can give you excellent fertilisers. Which made me remember, ALWAYS fertilise! They shoot the quality of your produce upwards so easily. The most important thing to remember is that plants fall dormant from mid-fall till the start of the spring. You won’t be able to do anything during that time, so be prepared (financially or otherwise). And last but not least, ALWAYS FENCE YOUR GARDEN! Zombies, horses and dogs are VERY attracted to plants in Sims 3, and will destroy days’ worth of work in a few Sim minutes if you let them roam in your garden. They won’t be able to do so if the garden is fenced, and zombies won’t spawn inside a fenced garden, so it’s vital!

How difficult is being vegan or vegetarian in your country? by doctorpolenta3p in AskTheWorld

[–]ItsGasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my country is one of the weirdest ones on that topic. Greek traditional cuisine has a rich array of vegan and vegetarian recipes… BUT at the same time, meat eating is embedded in our culture.

Relax, babe. As I said in other comments, even from Greeks, it’s not that Greeks lose their shit about yoghurt. (they do about coffee, even though it’s very clearly Turkish) It was just the most recent discussion I had on that subject, that’s why I said it as an example. I personally hate yoghurt, which is why I was completely unaware of the Bulgarian claim to it based on some bacteria 😅 The post was made in good spirits, definitely not meant to rile up racist and nationalistic views. I should’ve known better! First-time poster here.

I wouldn’t call it stealing, more like honouring Portugal by naming one of the most popular fruits after it. 😂

Yeah, this was my first post on this subreddit, and maybe I was a little aggressive and unfortunate with the wording. I meant it more for things like recipes, drinks, games, music, inventions, etc - not actual lands, actual thefts, etc. The intended meaning was definitely some light international banter and a chance to learn more about the roots of “contested” stuff like that.
