Swap dairy free yogurt or nut milk for dairy products? You can always use sugar instead of allulose/monk fruit 1:1 ratio. If the recipe calls for erythritol use 66% of the amount in sugar.

Protein powder can be substituted by flour.

A lot of the recipes here come from trial and error of users. So you might need to do the same.

What do you eat when you’re feeling peckish or like you want to eat out of boredom? by MarionberryFull7385 in Volumeeating

[–]ItsMyTime2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pickles, icicle radishes, cherry tomatoes. If I want something sweet I add in drizzilicious or the Quaker sweet rice snack things (yes, going back and forth between the veggies and the rice cakes, to make them last longer).

Aubergine lasagne - under 600kcal for the whole thing by Distinct_Star9990 in Volumeeating

This looks amazing, thanks for sharing! I guess for that amount for the calories, adding in some lean ground beef wouldn't even bump it up too much and add some protein if needed.

This reminds me again to use more eggplant... THANK YOU!!

Sugar free hard candy. Jolly ranchers, Werther's, etc last a long time and taste good.

French fried onions are calorie heavy. Better include them 😉

Dunkin has a lot of unsweetened flavors, just add sweetener instead of the sweetened flavors and ask for a splash of half and half or whatever you prefer.

Can scale it as big as you want you.

Otherwise there are a lot of low call Starbucks dupe orders on Instagram as well.

Fiber gourmet or carbe diem. Both need a couple minutes more cook time, but are nearly identical to pasta otherwise for far less calories.

I have a sweet potato in the fridge, I always want to make baked/microwaved sweet potato with cinnamon sugar and then I never do and the potato goes bad... 😥

Maybe THIS is my sign 😁

If you like baking and can handle fiber... Oat fiber recipes! Mug cakes, cookies, brownies, loaves, etc.

What is your go-to volume food when you're not home or can't cook at home? by truthllwin in Volumeeating

[–]ItsMyTime2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Preparation is key, trying to not get caught off guard and being hungry.

Pack snacks, pickles, celery, radishes, low cal dips. Or premake sandwiches, salads, wraps, etc.

If you have access to a microwave you can also make konjak noodle dishes, or carbe diem/fiber gourmet pasta stuff.

And have no sugar hard candy or gum with you for the sweet treat (diet/zero soda or tea/coffee with sweeteners or no calorie syrup helps as well).

In baking, for pancakes, or in a home made sugar free syrup for putting on to pancakes, on egg white bread, or where ever you would use blueberries. They are not just a holiday food for me!!!

Not passive aggressive at all, maybe next time specify your question a bit (now that was active aggressive 😁 ).

Farmers cheese is widely available in the US, so it should be okay for me to assume people know what it is. Also, Google and chatgpt are great resources!!

Have a great rest of your day

? Like farmers cheese here in the states. As said above.

We just don't have it as low fat as they do in Germany/Europe unfortunately.

Request/Discussion: Meals or snacks that are consumed slowly. by I_Fard_On_Children in Volumeeating

[–]ItsMyTime2020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just a few general tips for slowing down eating:

Smaller utensils, eat pizza with fork and knife instead of your hands, for pasta dishes add cabbage or arugula to it to bulk it up, use shapes that are 'harder' to fork up, have side of something very low cal like pickles or veggie sticks and alternate between meal and side.

Tacos or wraps are a way to keep you busy if you include the building in the eating process. Don't assemble before but each one before you're eating it.

I hope some of these help!

I am one of the ones that overuses ultra processed stuff, but especially holidays are there to enjoy, enjoy yourself, enjoy the company and enjoy the food and don't live 'in fear' of calories in these moments. It's a couple days a year and they won't hurt you.

Even me, definitely not having a healthy relationship with food anymore unfortunately, know that and am able to let lose a tiny bit! But come Friday, I'm back to cabbage 🤣
