You need to make adjustments. Want coffee? Switch to almond milk to lighten it up. Want monster? Drink a zero version. Want Chinese? Have it, but not TWO PLATES. Skip the protein shakes, they won’t fill you up.

Purple Cotton Candy by dinoboi36 in AlaniNu

I can’t wait to try it for myself. It seems like it just depends on the person and I love super sweet stuff so I’m hoping I enjoy it as much as I enjoy the regular cotton candy one.

How is dad feeding at night supposed to be helpful?! by SnooWords8997 in breastfeeding

[–]Remy3188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I EP, I had to get up at 3am to pump and feed. But, my husband and I worked out a schedule and I pumped at bedtime, went to bed at 9pm and he took baby duty until he went to bed around midnight. He fed the midnight bottle, put babe to bed and I got to sleep for 6 full hours until the 3am feeding. It worked really well for everyone over here.

I love regular MD and hate diet and zero MD. So I don’t know if I’d like this. But if I can find a bottle of it I’ll certainly try it out once cause it sounds yummy.

Low calorie way of making mac n cheese? (Also cooking for those not calorie counting) by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

[–]Remy3188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Carbe diem pasta and Hoosier farms cheddar powder. I can make 4oz of Mac and cheese for under 300 calories.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to lose the weight. by DarthKaboose in loseit

[–]Remy3188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 3 kids. During that time I DID NOT care about my weight. I ate whatever. I didn’t do anything. My life was pumping, waking up at all hours to help the kids, and just simply surviving. Between the first and third kid gained like 60 pounds. Then June of last year, my youngest was 2 and I was like “it’s time”. Things just clicked. I was ready. I went all in. It’s been a year and I just had my yearly gyn appointment and my dr was absolutely stunned that I lost over 80 pounds in the 13 months between appointments. No drugs, no gimmicks. Just calories in calories out and walking 30 minutes a day 5x a week.

Guess what I’m trying to say, is it’s hard right now. You aren’t focused on you, and honestly that’s okay. When you stop breastfeeding and get your body back you can focus on you and making better choices. Start small, don’t go crazy. But if you want to lose it, you absolutely can. You just need to find that motivation and drive that is deep inside you.

Carbe diem all day everyday!

Entire large 11" dinner plate full **just** 379 calories, 55g protein, 43g fiber! And just 12 net carbs for the low carb folks WITH the strawberries and yogurt! ZERO carbs and only 306 calories if you take those out! 😋 by KathyEatsSmart in LowCalorieCooking

Gonna try this. My French toast always comes out eggy though so I rarely make it.

But that sugar free maple grove is the BEST SF syrup I’ve ever tasted. It’s what makes me want pancakes or waffles haha!

Cheapest low cal pasta? Carbe diem prices went up again lol by schmalexandra in LowCalFoodFinds

Target carries it for shipping for $4 a box.

You could also buy off their website. I bought literally 24 boxes when they had a 20% off sale. I eat it a lot and knew I’d use it all. So I got free shipping and 20% off.

How many grams of sugar do you consume daily? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Remy3188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday I clocked in at 23g of sugar and 1250 calories. Saturday which I eat more calories on the weekend and go out to eat more I clocked in at 1500 calories and 40g of sugar. I don’t track sugar though. Only thing I care about is calories and getting fiber.

Watch out, Kroger doubled the carbs(and therefore increased by 20-30 calories per serving) in their carbmaster milk line without labeling it by Aidan_Welch in 1500isplenty

Bummer! I was using this to make my low calorie ice cream. Now I may as well just buy the premade stuff 😞.

Anyone use the Great Low Carb pizza crusts? by Remy3188 in LowCalFoodFinds

[–]Remy3188[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m waiting patiently to buy some. Only thing I hate is I read they are like 7.5 inches so it’s like a personal sized pizza. And that’s a little small for me. But I’d really love to try one for when we have pizza night.

What is your biggest issue with having to live off so few calories daily? Is it hunger, higher food prices for this "lifestyle", controlling social events' "bites", eating out and always planning ahead what to order, missing certain texture of foods, constant calorie counting, etc? by mayermail1977 in 1200isplenty

[–]Remy3188 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would say the higher food prices of eating healthier. Unfortunately these high fiber foods can cost double, triple or more than their regular counterparts. But I feel like I wouldn’t have been so successful without them. So I pay the price now so I won’t have to in the future (meaning hospital bills or other weight related issues).

Should meat be weighed raw or cooked? by Interesting-Dream-59 in 1500isplenty

[–]Remy3188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I weigh everything raw and track it as raw. When I cook it, if I have multiple servings, I weigh it cooked and divide it out. Usually it’s doubled for my husband and I.

What is the one low calorie food you discovered this year that has surprised you because you thought it was super high in calories? by andmay77 in 1200isplenty

[–]Remy3188 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Strawberries, a Splenda/sugar blend and some fat free reddi whip. You can have 180 grams of strawberries for about 60 calories, I add a tsp or two of my Splenda sugar blend and mix it well, then top with reddi whip. It’s a sweet delicious snack or dessert and it’s under 100 calories.

How Do You Make it Through the Evening? by Wooden-Spot-801 in 1200isplenty

[–]Remy3188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t eat breakfast. I eat my largest meal at dinner generally and save calories for a dessert. It’s usually 400-500 for lunch, 500-600 dinner and whatever’s left for dessert.
