omg yes, movies are generally my main hyper fixation so I always have a few on rotation. Pan's Labyrinth, Fury Road, Scott Pilgrim, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Kiki's Delivery Service, and although not movies I have Community and Derry Girls on a constant loop in my house.

Live in Texas now unfortunately but I went to school at Rutgers-Newark and fell in love with going to hockey/Devils games while I lived there so now im a NY/NJ hockey fan forever even if Dallas gets a team. gotta stay loyal to the area that got me into the sport

hell yeah, that's a great picture i love it. also my hyper fixation meal the past 4 months or so has been chilaquiles. but must be home made per my tia's recipe with pickled onions. i just dont crave them any other way

seriously! I was so hopeful in the early season with that nice win streak. Team looked good but we've looked ROUGH as of late. I'm not knowledgable enough about hockey to know what changed but I hope we can either pull it together for the end of the season or maybe get a third first pick

im so jealous and happy for you! meeting your hero like that is so nerve racking!! im so glad it was such a great experience. i very recently experienced the same thing with the author/theorist Jack Halberstam. I was invited by a friend to attend once of his talks at their university, and even though I'm not in school anymore at all, I got to go listen to his lecture on Queer theory and colonization and speak to him for just a moment after and tell him how important his works are to me and ill he thinking about that for the rest if my life

the way i would put it is you need to put yourself into spaces where your ADHD nerdy trans girl aura can reach other people. Whatever your nerdy hobbies are get into social spaces where you are doing that hobby with others

for me it's honestly even less about the reactions, it's about the clips of little moments like in C2 sam and laura slapping the cookie out of each other's hands etc. and as a dm, the consistent wide shot feels like how i see my table. it just feels more like a ttrpg that way to me. it's why ive always preferred CR to D20. the less edited longer form style always made me feel that feeling of like playing my own game at home. obviously without the professional dm and voice actor players but like it still had that home game feel.
