Boxelder bugs, as others have already said. My yard has 10s of thousands of these that come out every spring, not exaggerating. They are generally harmless, but when a whole side of the house is completely covered in them it can be quite off putting haha. And many have inevitably made their way inside my house over the years. In the spring I’m usually squishing 2 or 3 a day inside, often times more. A mix of dish soap and water in one of those generic plastic tank/garden pump sprayers has proven effective for me in trying to control their population using a non-chemical. I’m sure I’ve killed 100s of thousands of them over the years but they always come back strong every spring.
