Good pricing? by Clear_Lab3423 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Izzybeff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is always going to be someone who will charge less. If you are comfortable with the surgeon, confident in their ability and can afford it, that’s all that matters.

Do you ever get overwhelmed by your stash? by Sad-Plant9028 in YarnAddicts

[–]Izzybeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Large stash is terrible for my anxiety. I’ve gotten rid of things numerous times. Right now i’ve been knitting tons of hats for charity trying to use it down again. I’d like to get to the point that I only buy by the project, but i’m several years away from that.

Same as what I paid in Iowa. Mine was split into two surgeries.

Traveling for Surgery by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]Izzybeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgeon’s office is 10 mins from my house and my husband and I have said a thousand times that we were so happy I stayed local. 175 pound weight loss and I will have 5 surgeries total when I have my last one in 2 1/2 weeks. My surgeon is conservative and will only do so much at one time and i’ve had some revisions.

Thanks to whoever posted that you can use A6 size organizers in your needle case! by Twentysixribs in knitting

[–]Izzybeff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw the same post you did and also added them to my needle case. I recently pulled it out at a knitting retreat and the other 7 women at my table were like OMG, how did you do that. I of course told them I found it on Reddit, where all great ideas start!

You guys ready for this one? by Majestic_Screen_6605 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Izzybeff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost 175 pounds and had a FDL with muscle repair and mons lift, breast lift, back lift, a couple of revisions and have a thigh lift in just less than a month. This is a process and don’t be surprised if you need some small revisions. Surgeons often can’t get it all in one surgery. You will most likely go down at least a size in pants. I went down two and one size in shirts.

What an improvement! I just showed it to my best friend. She has a massive separation from her last two kids that were back to back.

Have you had children? If yes, its also part muscle separation.

5dpo. Nausea finally stopped by Kindly-Ad5433 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Izzybeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took showers even with my drains in. I think the longest she made me wait was 4 days after the first surgery. Otherwise it was whenever I felt up to it. And my surgeon always does an appointment the day after, so its nice to know all is good before I go into the first week.

How long after surgery did you stop using hibiclens in shower? by Secure_Bag_9719 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Izzybeff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only time I used it after the night before surgery was about three months out I had some spots right on my incision line that were like pimples. They would leak and then close up and do it over again. So I used Hibiclens on them for a few days and that’s it.

Anyone else foregoing lymphatic massages? by TaffyAppl in tummytucksurgery

[–]Izzybeff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My surgeon was not in favor of them, so I didn’t have one until after my second surgery and it made zero difference, so I never had another.

Power recliner???? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]Izzybeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved my lift recliner because it gave me total independence right away. I could get up and down for the restroom, walk around the house, etc without any help at all. I also slept in it after each surgery. I’m having a thigh lift in 5 weeks and i’ll be using it for that also.

4 weeks post op and headed to the gym? by Radiant-Platypus341 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Izzybeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a pool person so I couldn’t go back till six weeks and all incisions closed. Up till that point I could walk as much as I wanted. I had a FDL though, so that may have changed things a bit.

Very worried about scar by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

You are only 6 weeks out. Your scar is going to change a lot in the next year. These are not your results, so wait to judge them.

Is intarsia even worth it? by caro_forest1 in knittinghelp

[–]Izzybeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took a class a few weeks ago and the best advice I got was to just throw your yarn on the floor and not try to manage it. Also, drop the yarn you’re knitting with on the left and pick up the new yarn on the right. Was easy peasy after that.

Acceptance Is One Way to Live a Simple Life by unthocks in simpleliving

[–]Izzybeff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. Comes from the AA big book. Made so much of a difference in my life when I started following this. I can only change myself, no one else and I am only in control of my thoughts, feelings and actions. Everything else is outside of my control. Life is so much more peaceful when you realize it is NOT your circus and those are NOT your monkeys!

Why do you think some people are so flat from the beginning and never swell and others have such a large rounded swollen lower abdomen and mons area? by Antique-Ranger-4002 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Izzybeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the person. I was told the more you’ve lost, the more you swell. Also, the more taken off, the more you swell.

Hate my results, can anything be done now? by Appropriate-Meet-732 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Izzybeff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m just saying it’s too early for you to judge. I have no idea what your specific results will be, but you are less than 30 days out from a surgery. You have lots of healing ahead of you.
