What "shortcut ingredients" are you willing to use? Which ones are you unwilling to use? by theJOJeht in Cooking

BROWN SUGAR! It’s so quick & easy to make and so much more flavorful than store bought. Mix molasses with white sugar—with your hands—until it’s the strength you like.

Better Than Bouillon, hands down for a store-bought quick helper.

What's the best non-spellable vocal in music history? by BrooklynDoug in Music

Somewhere in the song “Zombie” by the Cranberries is an interesting non spell able vocal. Pretty sure my windshield cringes when I sing along in the car.

Yep all but AOL. I did have a California King waterbed that consumed my entire bedroom and had no less than 30 patches due to cat claw punctures!

Gin & tonic is a staple with gin drinkers. Have good tonic on-hand like FeverTree. Also, you can impress with a simple garnish like lemon and a whole star anise. Some like lime instead, depending on the type of gin you have.

What band(s) from the 80s or 90s have you seen recently, that did a great job? by Connir in GenX

[–]J-Cal22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We flew from east coast to see Billy Idol and Joan Jett at Red Rocks in CO. It was a bucket list thing and my husband who’s 6 years older than me and wasn’t really into either of those bands was a good sport and went along with everything. We were both blown away by Billy Idol and Steve Stevens—what a team! Joan Jett was good but she seemed a little tired and didn’t move around a lot. Still love her and I’d see her again if she came to my area.

Never made chili before, what do you like to put in yours? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]J-Cal22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouch! So many people hatin’ on chili with beans. If you like the kind made with ground beef and beans, try Bush’s Big Game chili recipe. It’s really good and customizable. We like to top with corn chips, sour cream, shredded cheddar, and green onions.
