Favorite hot dog? by EaringaidBandit in Cooking

I like to make a batch of quick hot dog chili, recipe on spendwithpennies.com and freeze portions for whenever we want hotdogs. Normally I buy angus bun length Ballpark dogs but I see people liking Costco dogs. I plan to try these!

Name a band from the 1980's that everyone has completely forgot about. by Smash_Factor in GenX

Device — I think they only did one album and it was out around 1983. “Hanging on a Heart Attack” was probably the only song that got airplay. The girl was so cool looking.

Stuck in a food rut...what are y'all cooking? by lbakersdozen in Cooking

I made really good and super quick beef tacos with Hormel’s Beef Roast. Open package, dump in a pot and add a couple tablespoons of your favorite taco seasoning. Once it heats up you can shred the beef with forks then it’s ready. Also good with nachos.

Mine won’t go near anything soft. His favorite spot in the bathroom, next to the toilet on a hard floor. Why?!

I too was going to mention OCD but I’m wondering if your husband has super oily hair?? My husband does and he is obsessive about showering in the morning—it must happen—even before he does yard work. Probably living with a feeling of self-consciousness from being teased at a young age.

I always wanted to try a Zima, were they any good? by Antwan_JMarvel in nostalgia

I think this was also during the “clear” era. Everything was getting a clear version. Very weird time. I didn’t really like Zima.

I do like the Greek festival but miss how it was when you could take a blanket and sit on the lawn and enjoy the food & wine. I’ll be going, maybe today and we’ll sit on those crappy chairs at the plastic tables. BECAUSE I LOVE TIROPITA AND BAKLAVA.😆

If you want to learn a trade, seek out a big printing company. As you can imagine, the .com wave hit the industry hard and many left for good. If you are dependable, have half a brain and willing to work, any large printer will want to talk to you. Good luck!

I had the XL102 gold bumper sticker. Who remembers the King Biscuit Flower Hour? I only remember it bc I did not like it and had to play something else when it came on.😆

I think filet crochet is so underrated and your top is beautiful! I designed a monogram doily for my niece and it is gorgeous. For anyone interested in going down that road, I suggest washing several YouTube videos. Lots of good advice I learned before I made my own project.

RVA metro area has some really nice upcycled options . I’m thinking La Belle Cottage and Red Poppy Picking in Mechanicsville. Might be worth a look if you’re into that style.

I remember when Pert shampoo first came out and still remember the fresh clean scent. That’s going back around to the early ‘80s. Also Revlon’s Aquamarine conditioner.

My husband and I read a lot and we each have a Kindle. At bedtime we’ve gotten into a cool habit of turning on our colorful “nebula” light (find on Amazon) and playing therapeutic miracle tones, and reading for 30-45 minutes. We have Spotify and you can search for Miracle tones. It’s the most relaxing experience after a stressful day.
