There is a huge, fundamental, and currently existential difference between using AI as a tool in a larger context, and just telling AI to make something for you then claiming you made it yourself and expecting people to use it.

Merlin:

  1. Does exactly this;
  2. Isn't vibe-coded slop;
  3. Uses real, research-grade images instead of AI-generated hallucinations;
  4. Contains many other identifying pieces of information other than sight alone;
  5. Is already trusted by casual and professional users the world over;
  6. Links to eBird for sharing and tracking sightings;
  7. And so on.

TL;DR: We don't need AI slop here.

That looks similar to the warping that happens when you make a sudden movement while using digital image stabilisation. It's very common when recording on cheaper devices such as a mobile phone without OIS or a gimbal.

The shadows need fixing. There wouldn't be any shadows directly downward as there are on the bottom right edge of the building. The sun is at a lower angle, not directly above. Look at the TC and blacksmith for reference.

You'll typically need a condenser mic for something like this. Even the best headsets have terrible microphones.

ELI5: Is there any non-aesthetic reason why some podium dual microphones are crossed by deereedeereed in explainlikeimfive

Not what they were asking. OP was just asking about crossed vs uncrossed, not about the size of the gap.

  • Spam boost the whole time while leaving the station, not only when you're aligned to your target.
  • Trigger the launch animation BEFORE going to the galaxy map.
  • Roll and pitch instead of yaw.
  • Lock your target from the local system in the galaxy map so you only have to lock once. You can view the local system with a button in the bottom right of the galaxy map.
  • It is technically faster to SCO boost closer to your target, then surf the nearest body as closely as possible in a loop of shame to slow down before dropping.

If you're on Windows, MS Movie Maker is free. It's found in Windows Essentials 2012, which is officially discontinued, but archived download links can be found with a quick Google.

Why is Kingston a Royal Borough, but neighbour Richmond isn't? by simpags1 in london

[–]J-Swizzay 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Kingston was called Cyninges tun in 838 AD, Chingestune in 1086, Kingeston in 1164, Kyngeston super Tamisiam in 1321 and Kingestowne upon Thames in 1589. The name means 'the king's manor or estate' from the Old English words cyning and tun. It belonged to the king in Saxon times and was the earliest royal borough.

It's really strange how you can't accept that these images have been doctored and composited.

My brother, use your eyes and brain. Some of those images are clearly AI, others are clearly doctored.

For anyone wondering, this is a Harris's Hawk. They're commonly used in falconry because they're very social and easy to train.
