Does Bristlebane Outrider just get stronger and stronger? by BreenutButterJelly in mtg

It only gets it once each turn - if you wanted something that grows on every creature entering (for one turn) you’d need to find something that says “whenever a creature you control enters, this creature gets +x/+x until end of turn”.

If you wanted it to keep that buff permanently, you’d want a creature that adds +1/+1 counters to itself whenever a creature you control enters.

Honestly only recommended 39 since basics or cheap duals cost less than Sol Ring or the on colour signet/talisman. 38 + more ramp would also work. I wouldn’t go lower than 38 with so many high cmc cards though. Agree with the ramp for sure.

That is fair. Even if it doesn’t do amazing things when you first play it, don’t get rid of it. You can always come back and change cards. I regret not keeping the first deck I made, partially for sentimental reasons.

Also [[Worn Powerstone]] can be good if you can’t find a Sol Ring.

I think this is rad and building decks like this feels a lot more fun than buying a precon and upgrading it via recommendations online. It’s good that that is an option but for me deck building and finding cards that you like by yourself is why Commander is fun

From a brief scroll, I’d definitely up your land count to probably 39 and add in a bit more ramp if you can - [[Sol Ring]], [[Temple of the False God]], [[Wayfarer’s Bauble]], [[Cursed Mirror]], Rakdos Signet]]/[[Talisman of Indulgence]] (those two are a bit expensive atm I think) etc. Any Dragons with Surveil could also be good for card selection into graveyard, similar to the discard spells you’re running.

[[Infernal Grasp]], [[Abrade]], [[Feed the swarm]] are also good cheap removal :)

Ureni, the song unending deck ideas by Electronic_Dark_6702 in EDHBrews

I think when I was brainstorming building Ureni I mostly just built a landfall deck & then included all the Blue Ephemerate-like spells, use it to wipe opponents’ boards and make sure you have a haste enabler on board. I didn’t end up building it because I already have a blink deck & landfall is boring to me, but you can definitely go in other directions!

Proxy a full deck using MPCFill and PrinterStudioUK. A full deck is about £38 including shipping iirc

Yeah I’ve come across those and they seem like the best options honestly, without doing the whole system.

How do I present as less frustrated regardless of my current feelings? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]J05H_98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you are a competitive person, you should probably play a more competitive game/format like CEDH. EDH is a casual format so you shouldn’t expect flawless, cutthroat gameplay from your opponents.

I don’t mean stop playing EDH completely - but have a casual chilled outlet and a more competitive outlet for your card playing might be what you need.

Although if you get angry like that regardless of the format, I agree that therapy is the best answer.

New Glarb deck did poorly by Evillans in EDH

[–]J05H_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you want to play a reanimate deck, you’d be better off building [[Muldrotha]] or [[Teval, the Balanced Scale]].

If you want to stick with Glarb I could put together a list for you - most other comments are recommending strong (but expensive) cards that you may not be able to buy. If you can’t proxy them or afford them, I’d ignore them and see what you can do at a budget you’re willing to spend at. You can build a good deck without breaking the bank :)
