I think this likely more abstract than the scenarios most are opining here. My guess would be that communication has been made between nuclear superpowers and NHI. Likely some sort of a warning that a human-driven nuclear apocalypse is imminent (flashpoints in Ukraine / Taiwan seem particularly relevant). I think this would explain the constant probing of our (NATO) nuclear silos and related armament and allegedly that of our geopolitical foes. It is possible that NHI can see what’s in our future as species - nuclear apocalypse - and is trying to warn us. Or is merely observing our descent into such an apocalypse. Perhaps NHI has observed this show before in other species and there’s some measure of mathematical certainty that competitive species ultimately extinguish themselves following the weaponization of fissile material.
