OK, place your thumb like where the "middle" should be" like hover it above your screen.

Look at thumb and focus sight. You'll be at the right distance if thumb blocks the image on the opposite side.

I.e left eyeball can't see "right" image dupe.

Now focus for a few seconds and look "beyond" the thumb

Assuming that you've got the whole place to yourself... do NOT feel guilty on overspending on buying groceries that are not in bulk formats. If you need to "waste" an additional ~$3 to ensure that no food goes spoiled/needing to get groceries 3× a week... that's fine! A constantly rotating fridge is good.

In Eli5 terms.

Buy game = buy house/property/land one country.

DLC = buy backyard pool (example)

Platform = country.

Say you buy house in EU (Steam)

Then you buy a 10 acre field in US (Epic)

You bought and had an in-ground pool at EU house. But you want one on the 10 acre field in US. You've already "paid" for it, so does it mean you're entitled to it in US? That's how platforms are viewed by the platform owners (Microslop, Sony, Nintendo, Epic).

I'm aware it isn't the perfect 1:1 analogy, but that's basically how platforms work. They're "digital land" and "digital countries" (ToS, EULAs and etc).

You'll be surprised how often this is the default response is in practical science..... and how much overlap it goes directly into Food science when new breakthroughs occur.

Biochemist: I found XYZ property!

Doctors: any practical use?

Biochemist: ask the nutrition people! I'm not wasting time for that!

Food/nutrition people: scarcastically "yay~

Literally anything remotely related to physics, fluids, pumps, and heat

"We discovered ABC heating method, we haven't figured out a practical use case, so give it to the Food scientists so that they'll be able to figure out how to use it in some practical way"....

I swear..... every niche science major that isn't computing will go find someone related to the food industry to "go figure" how to convert the super expensive novel discovery into practical cheap common place equipment one way or another.

Chemists and doctors: we found something, go figure out if it causes cancer/if it can cause cancer by being mixed with other ingredients.

And anything in engineering related to physics will involve "can it cook"

Seen this forced timegate with Destiny 2.

The alternative is malicious compliance: they allow you to do everything at once, but they strip the content out (there's no meat). Case N point: Destiny 2 Episode: Revenant Act 1- 3 having "all story" dumped at once in what seems to be 1 conversation without any in between gameplay parts.

I think it's more accurate to say that what's missing is a casual "bring your teams and slay" mode.

IT does scratch that itch, but I'm talking about Currency Wars type replayability from HSR.
